Essence Exchange

Convert items into EMC and exchange EMC for any previously learned items.

How does it work?

Essence Exchange is a lightweight mod inspired by the classic Equivalent Exchange and ProjectE. I created it because I really missed these mods on the newest version of Minecraft.

Sell items to gain EMC and buy any previously learned items using the Essence Exchange Table. Currently only vanilla items have EMC values (practically all of them), so you can freely trade between them. Tipped arrows, potions and some creative-only items are excluded for now. Support for modded items may be added in the future.

It *should* work perfectly on multiplayer — EMC balance and learned items are shared between all players on the server.

Essence Exchange Table

The main block of the mod. Place it, right-click to open the GUI with search bar and scrolling. Only learned and affordable items are shown. Includes custom particles and simple animation.

Selling items is very convenient:
• Shift + left or right click on an item in inventory → sells the entire stack
• Drag & drop with left mouse button → sells the entire stack
• Drag & drop with right mouse button → sells a single item

Behaviour is exactly the same as with vanilla chests.

Additionally, holding SHIFT while hovering over any item in your inventory shows its EMC value and full stack EMC value.

Crafting

The Exchange Table is crafted with:

• Respawn Anchor x4
• Iron Block x2
• End Crystal x2
• Torchflower x1

Mod Commands

• /emc balance — shows current server EMC balance
• /emc sellhand <count> — sells items from your hand
• /emc buy <item> <count> — buys an item (if learned and you have enough EMC)
