v1.1.3 - Fix the Watch of Flowing Time speeding up the world clock for free
Bugfix release for Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge 21.1.249. No feature changes.
Fixed
- The day/night cycle ran 5x–13x faster than normal, permanently and for free. A single right-click to switch the Watch of Flowing Time to
Fast ForwardorRewindwas enough: the ring kept pushing the world clock by4 × (charge + 1)ticks on every game tick, forever. It cost no EMC, and you never had to activate the item with the use key — cycling the mode was enough. The activation check and the EMC cost now run first, so the clock only moves while the ring is active and paid for, sharing the same per-tick upkeep as the ring's other effects. Rewindcould leave the world clock stuck at 0, with the sun and moon phase pinned and no way to recover in game. Rewinding is now floored at one full in-game day (24000 ticks), which also keeps the day/night phase from desyncing.
Technical Changes
TimeWatch#inventoryTick— theACTIVEcomponent check, the singlegetCharge(stack)read and theremoveFractionalEMC/consumeFuelcharge were moved ahead of the world-clock block. The block-entity tick bonus, itsbalance.timeWatch.inventoryBonuscap and the mob slowdown were already gated correctly and are unchanged.TimeWatch— newMIN_REWIND_DAY_TIMEconstant (24000 ticks) replaces the hardcoded0rewind floor. The forwardLong.MAX_VALUEoverflow guard is unchanged.
Notes
If your world clock was already running fast, upgrading fixes it. Nothing in your existing world is corrupted — but note that Rewind used to be able to pin the clock at 0, and a world left at 0 stays there; set the time once from a command after upgrading if that happened to you.
Same fix shipped for 26.2 as 1.6.7.
