What's new

Equivalent Conquest 0.5.2-beta

Still a beta: back up your world before updating, and report bugs.

Server owners: please update. 0.5.0 and 0.5.1 crash on startup on real servers and in normal launchers (see Fixes) - 0.5.2 is the first build tested on a real server and client. Project Expansion is no longer used: remove it from your server and your players' packs. Old Power Flowers and Project Expansion stars disappear - Starblooms and the Nova Star replace them.

New: Starblooms (our own EMC flowers - Project Expansion is gone)

  • Starbloom: 4 Diamond Blocks in the corners, 4 Stellarite Ingots on the sides, a Sunflower in the middle.
    • Makes EMC for its owner every second - online or offline, chunk loaded or not - until it's broken.

    • Only inside your own zone, 6 per zone (was 5 Power Flowers).

    • 10 levels, upgraded with Stellarite: right-click it to see its level, income and the next upgrade.

Level EMC / second Upgrade to the next
      1 100 2 Stellarite Ingots
      2 275 4 Ingots
      3 750 8 Ingots
      4 2,100 16 Ingots
      5 5,700 3 Stellarite Blocks
      6 15,700 5 Blocks
      7 43,000 8 Blocks
      8 120,000 16 Blocks
      9 330,000 1 Celestium Ingot
      10 900,000 -
    • Grows as you upgrade it: a closed bud (1-3), an open bloom (4-6), a radiant double flower (7-9) and a gold-crowned flower with a halo (10). The petals take the level's colour, and a glowing sparkle beats at its heart.

    • Broken, it drops with its level - raiders can carry a stolen bloom home.

  • Nova Star: 8 full Klein Star Omegas around a Block of Stellarite; it starts with their 409.6 M EMC.
    • No limit. Right-click to put EMC in from your balance or take it out (any amount, or all of it).
    • Works in ProjectE like any Klein Star: tools draw fuel from it, the Transmutation Table charges it.
    • Its EMC counts as yours wherever it is (in a chest too): for the no-Core cap, picking up your Core, and hijacks. Whoever carried it last owns it.
    • A valuable: only kept in storage inside your zone, can't be dropped.
  • Project Expansion is no longer used; ProjectE's own Collectors and Relays still can't be placed.

New: Stellarite and Celestium Chests (huge storage)

  • Stellarite Chest: a Chest surrounded by 8 Stellarite Ingots. 540 stacks (10 double chests).
  • Celestium Chest: a Stellarite Chest with 4 Celestium Ingots around it. 27,000 stacks (500 double chests).
  • Your own zone only, one of each per player. Unbreakable and blast-proof; no hoppers or pipes.
  • Same items stack into one entry, however many. Sort by EMC (most or least valuable first), search by name or @mod, "Put all", and a trash button (owner only): mark entries with a red X (Shift: everything shown), then Delete.
  • Raids: while your Ward Shell is up only you and allies with the Storage permission get in. Shell down, breached or base wiped: anyone can open it and take; only you and your allies can put things in.
  • Moving it: the Pick Up Tool gives the chest back and what's inside stays yours (not while it holds valuables). Your Core can't be picked up while one of these still stands in your zone. Place a Celestium Chest while your Stellarite one is picked up and everything moves over.
  • Ally permissions: a new Storage setting in Core settings: none, put in only, the Stellarite Chest, or both. Allies with Storage access may also keep valuables in your zone.
  • Books, ULTIMA, Souls and packed Cores / Chests can't go in.

Stellar pickaxes

  • Built-in Fortune: Fortune III on the Stellarite Pickaxe, Fortune V on the Celestium Pickaxe (works with auto-smelt).
  • Send to base chest: a new toggle in the keep list (G). What you keep goes straight into your Celestium / Stellarite Chest at base, wherever you mine, then your inventory. Undo takes it back out.
  • Ore sense:
    • Stellarite Pickaxe: beeps when Stellarite Ore is within 20 blocks - faster and higher the closer, and the sound comes from the ore's direction. A readout over the hotbar says where (arrow relative to where you look, distance, above/below).
    • Celestium Pickaxe: every Stellarite Ore within 15 blocks glows through walls.
    • Only you see / hear it.
  • The Stellarite Pickaxe always gets 3 Bits from Stellarite Ore.

More new things

  • Stellarite and Celestium Axes: 30 / 50 damage; chop a whole natural tree at once (up to 100 / 150 logs), straight into your inventory. Sneak for one block. (The Multitool is still better.)
  • Type amounts the short way: 400k, 1.5m, 2b, 100t, 1q (or plain numbers with commas) in Contracts, the Bounty Board (bounties and Ultima bids), Shops (prices, deposit / withdraw) and the Nova Star. A live readout under the box shows the full number (= 1,500,000 EMC) - red if it isn't one.
  • Recipe book: every Equivalent Conquest crafting recipe now shows in the vanilla recipe book (the "craftable" filter shows what you can make). The 8x8 Super Crafting recipes are in JEI.
  • Nova Star counts as a valuable under the stash rules (like Stellarite).
  • Conquest Guide: new pages - The Story of the Stars (lore), Stellar Storage, Starblooms - plus History sections and updated gear, crafting, Stellarite, Pick Up and command pages.

Changes

  • Drillers take any signed Contract (no more 50 M minimum); contracts add up, and it runs once it holds a minute's EMC (500 k, Astral 1.5 M).
  • Cheaper Stellar gear: Stellar armour, swords, pickaxes and the Driller now use Stellarite Ingots instead of Blocks.
  • New Stellarite Sword look.

Fixes

  • Crash on startup (0.5.0 and 0.5.1): the mod failed to load on real servers and in normal launchers (two of its ProjectE Transmutation Table hooks only worked in development). Fixed.
  • Boss events: Seraphiel and Solvane events could break mid-fight on real servers. Fixed.
  • Client crash on the first click in a normal launcher. Fixed.
  • Night vision from the Stellar helmet no longer drops off when you change dimension.

For server admins

  • /emcmod limits now counts Starblooms (6 per zone) and Drillers.

Needs

Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.x and ProjectE, on the server and every client. JEI recommended. Project Expansion is no longer needed - remove it.
