Equivalent Conquest

ProjectE, but everything you own can be taken. Claim land, guard your EMC, raid your rivals, and build an empire with your guild.

Equivalent Conquest

BETA. Equivalent Conquest is in beta: it's playable and being tested on a live server, and big updates are still coming. Expect balance changes and new features. Back up your world before updating, and please report bugs.

We HIGHLY recommend installing Project Expansion with this mod. Its Power Flowers are how players earn EMC, and the whole economy is balanced around them. Without it the game is much slower and much less fun.

What is it?

Equivalent Conquest is a Forge 1.20.1 add-on for ProjectE that turns endless transmutation into a territory war.

In plain ProjectE, EMC is a number nobody can touch and every recipe you learn is yours forever. Here, your wealth is real and it can be lost:

  • Your EMC lives in a Core, a block you place in the world. The Core claims your land, and without one you're capped at 10,000 EMC.
  • Your recipes are Books in Chests. Learn an item and it becomes a Book in a Chest in your zone. Lose the Book and you lose the recipe.
  • Anything you own can be raided. Other players can break your Ward Shell, steal your Books and hijack your Core.

It's made for multiplayer survival servers that want ProjectE's power with real stakes, real rivals and a reason to defend what you build.

Who is it for?

  • Servers that love ProjectE but found it turns into "everyone has everything" after a week.
  • Players who want faction-style raiding, base defense and guild wars, with EMC as the prize.
  • Groups that want long-term goals: rare materials, legendary items, bosses, seasons and leaderboards.

Features

Your base

  • Core: holds your EMC, claims a square zone around it (100x100, growing to 150 and 200), and must be fed logs or it starves. - Chests (Basic, Crystal, God) keep your recipe Books. Friends can be given access by tier. - Ward Shells I-IV: a force wall around your zone that keeps outsiders from touching anything, from building to attacking. - Ward modules: Alarms and Triplines, Camouflage (outsiders see untouched land where your base stands), and Self Defense (the wall throws raiders back and zaps their Siege Charges). - Offline protection: the shell takes half damage once you and all your allies have been offline for 10 minutes. New players get a 3-day shield on their first base. - Raid Log: who came near, who got in, who hit your shell. - Moving house: the Pick Up Tool packs your Chests, and you can pack up your Core, so you can relocate without losing anything.

Defense that fights back

  • Barracks and guards that patrol, jail intruders and wound them. - The Trinity (Sun, Moon and Void): three god guardians that sleep for free and wake the moment raiders walk in. A solo raider against a Trinity base shouldn't win. - Forcefields fueled by signed Contracts.

Raiding

  • Siege Charges crack Ward Shells, and Hijack Tools take a Core and everything in it. - Gadgets: Smoke Bombs, EMP Grenades, a Scout Drone, the Ward Scanner, the Soul Seeker and the Special Map, a radar pointing at other bases. - Logout backpacks: log out in the wild and your inventory waits in a backpack anyone can loot. - Bounty Board: put EMC on a player's head, or hunt someone for theirs.

Stellarite and Celestium: the currency EMC can't print

  • Stellarite is a star-shaped ore found only on mountain tops. It can't be learned or transmuted, only mined, drilled or taken from other players. - 64 Blocks of Stellarite make one Celestium Ingot, the rarest material in the game. - Drillers turn EMC (signed onto Contracts) into Stellarite and upgrade from Stellarite to Celestium to Astral. - Stellar gear: - Armor: immune to normal damage, with flight, night sight, fire immunity, shields, no hunger and regeneration. - Swords with special arts: Supernova, Eclipse and Singularity. - Area-mining pickaxes that auto-smelt. - The Celestium Multitool.

Legends and bosses

  • ULTIMA: one legendary weapon for the whole server. Hold it and everyone can hunt you. Its Scythe reaps Souls and opens the Rift. - Realm bosses: - Every 10 days the Starfall opens a portal on every StarGate, and up to 30 players at a time fight Seraphiel, the Starfall Seraph. - Every 30 days the Eclipse brings Solvane, Emperor of the Stars. - Both drop big rewards, and the Hearts they drop unlock Celestial Gates, Ward IV, Void Trinities and more. - Blood Moon nights.

Guilds

  • Found a guild with a 2-6 letter tag in one of 32 colours. The tag shows over heads, in chat and in the Tab list. - Ranks (Owner, Co-Owner, Officer, Member) with permissions the Owner sets. - Guild chat, locating guildmates, and teleport requests between guildmates. - No friendly fire. Guildmates can't raid each other, and if you leave you can't raid your old guild for 45 minutes, so nobody can join to spy and then leave to raid. - Guild perks paid in Celestium by any member: Flair, Guild Sight, Rally, Map Banner, Home Beacon, War Horn, Drill Guild and Bigger Roster, each with three levels. - /top guilds ranks guilds by Guild Power.

Economy and competition

  • Shops at your zone's edge, a server-wide Market (/market), and face-to-face Trade Blocks. - Leaderboards (/top) and Seasons: every 60 days the boards reset and each board's champion gets a permanent chat title.

Quality of life

  • The Conquest Guide, an in-game manual with a page for every system and item. New players get it on first join. - A HUD showing whose land you're on, its ward and your EMC. Hold H to see what every key does with the item in your hand. - JEI support, dupe fixes, and big-server optimizations.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.20.1
Loader Forge 47.x
Required ProjectE (1.0.1 or newer)
Highly recommended Project Expansion: its Power Flowers are the EMC income everything is balanced around
Optional JEI, SecurityCraft

Install it on both the server and every client, with ProjectE and (we highly recommend it) Project Expansion.

For server owners

  • One config file, config/emcmod-common.toml, holds zone sizes and no-claim areas, ward HP, siege damage, boss times, Driller rates, the Recall Crystal, the Mining World and much more. Changes apply while the server runs.
  • Admin tools live under /emcmod: inspect players, wipe Cores, audit logs, cleaning mode, season control, guild tools and more.
  • Built for big servers: saves are compact, logs are capped, and heavy work (like big mining) is spread over ticks.
