Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Fixes three things Epic Fight users have been running into: the Epic Fight UI staying off after you put a TacZ gun away, emotes doing nothing, and worn armor turning invisible.
Battle mode now comes back on its own. Holding a TacZ gun forced you into vanilla mode every tick, but nothing ever turned battle mode back on - so switching to a sword left the skill UI and Epic Fight combat dead until you pressed the mode key by hand. Reported here on CurseForge; thank you. Suppression now goes through Epic Fight's own event, and Epic Fight restores battle mode itself the moment the gun is no longer held.
Epic Fight emotes work again. The emote wheel opened and nothing happened. Emotes are drawn on Epic Fight's own model, which is only rendered in battle mode - so being stuck in vanilla mode made every emote invisible, whatever you were holding. Fixed by the above, and battle mode is no longer suppressed while an emote is playing, so emotes also work with a gun in hand.
Worn armor no longer turns invisible. Epic Fight renders armor through a path that runs the third-person player-pose code once per equipped armor slot, per frame, and this mod was hooking into it. That hook is now limited to the player model. This affected vanilla and modded armor alike; the armor was still in your inventory, it just was not drawn.
Your camera is still preserved when the mode flips, but only on that one tick, so it no longer fights with normal F5 perspective changes.
Reminder: TacZ, Epic Fight and PlayerAnimator are all required - the mod will not load unless all three are installed.
The Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge build is uploaded separately as 1201-0.5.2.
