Epic Fight First-Person Weapon Mesh
Epic Fight mesh weapons (Epic Fight: Nightfall and similar add-ons) only show their 3D model while you are in Epic Fight battle mode. Outside it, the game draws the flat 2D item sprite, which looks wrong next to Better Combat or Punchy.
This mod draws the real 3D weapon model in your hand even when you are not in battle mode. Inventory icons are untouched.
Features
- First person, Punchy and third person: 3D weapons in vanilla first person, during Better Combat swings, with Punchy's hand animations, and in third person (F5).
- Better Combat friendly: arm and swing animations stay exactly as they are; only the held item is swapped for its 3D model.
- Sheath control: list items whose sheath should never be drawn (only the bare blade is shown). Items that come as a separate "in sheath" variant show the bare blade instead.
- Dual-hand weapons: items whose model is a pair (for example the Feral Claw or twin blades) are split into a right and a left piece, one per hand. Whatever is in your off hand is ignored while you hold one.
- Better Combat dual wield (optional): a dual-hand weapon behaves as if the same weapon were in both hands, with alternating main/off hand swings.
- Automatic detection: works with any add-on that uses Epic Fight mesh item renderers, including animation-style item renderers.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47+
- Epic Fight 20.14+
Optional: Punchy, Better Combat. Epic Fight: Nightfall and other weapon add-ons are what the mod is meant to be used with.

Notes
- Client-side only. Install it on the client; the server does not need it.
- Left-handed main-arm setups keep the vanilla sprite.
- Weapons with a separate sheath model on other bones are drawn as a single rigid piece in their rest pose, so articulated parts (for example claw fingers) do not animate in the hand.
- If another mod already replaces the held item rendering, results may differ.
