What's new
🚀 Enhanced Flight - Changelog v1.0.4
⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING FOR UPDATING:
The internal structure of the config file has been completely rewritten in this update. Please backup your previousenhancedflight-server.tomlfile before updating! After starting the game with the new update, the mod will generate a new config file, and you will need to manually copy your custom armors and values over to the new file.
✨ New Features & Additions
- New Flight Animations: Introduced 4 new variations of flight animations, bringing much more diversity and authentic styles to armors, including tactical and heroic postures.
- New Freefall Animation: Now, when falling from great heights, the character enters a new, highly realistic freefall pose.
- New Landing Animation: Added a new dynamic landing system, featuring two exclusive variations (one focused on heavy impact and a smoother one) that respond perfectly upon touching the ground.
- Visual Effects (VFX) Improvements: Complete overhaul of flight particles and trails (VFX), delivering a cleaner, more immersive look without causing lag.
- New Configuration Options: Added several new toggles and options in the
.tomlconfig file, allowing you to freely enable or disable visual features, animations, and performance settings according to your preference.
🛠️ Optimizations
- Extreme Performance Optimization: The core code and flight verification logic have been rewritten from scratch. The mod no longer generates unnecessary verification loops.
- No More Memory Leaks & TPS Drops: Thanks to a new, smart, and optimized system, the mod no longer leaks memory or impacts server TPS, ensuring extremely smooth gameplay even on crowded servers.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Survival Mode Permissions Fix: Resolved a critical issue where flight abilities (Overheat, Takeoff, Super Sonic) were accidentally activating for players in Survival mode without any configured items equipped. Now, the logic is strict and secure: no configured armor, no powers.
- Conflicting Keybinds Fix: Fixed a bug where Boost/Takeoff keys would accidentally trigger while the player was typing in chat, searching for items in the inventory, or using other interfaces.
- Freefall Head Rotation Fix (Gimbal Lock): Fixed a bizarre visual bug where the player's head would "spin 360 degrees" and look like a broken neck during freefall. Now the head properly locks its pitch and naturally tracks the camera yaw, similar to vanilla Elytra flight.
- Config Armor Detection Fix: Fixed a data priority reading issue, ensuring that all custom armors inserted into the mod's Configs are perfectly detected and trigger flight features correctly.
