Ever notice how all enchanted books are the same color with no way to tell them apart or even how strong they are?
This mod aims to fix that issue by changing the ribbon/glint colors to match the types of items that the enchants can go on and changing the textures of the enchanted books to reflect the level of them
Inspired by https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/d563cn/oc_enchanted_book_redesign_to_make_them_easier_to/
Green - can be applied to armor
Red - Can be applied to swords
Purple - Can be applied to tridents
Orange - Can be applied to bow
Teal - Can be applied to crossbow
Blue - Can be applied to Fishing rods
Brown - Can be applied to tools
Black - These are cursed, stay away
In the case of multiple enchants, the highest level one will take preference for the model and the colors will be combined.
The mod is client side only so it can be used on vanilla servers.

Is there a Sphax equivalent to this?
Heya guys, I'm currently working on a Legend of Zelda-inspired modpack full of customized mechanics, subtle worldbuilding, and many fun incentives for exploration. Unfortunately, LOZ modpacks are almost nonexsistant, especially standout ones. That's what I'm trying to change. It'll require alot of support from the community, so go give the pack a test run and tell me your criticisms, I'm open to anything!

Thanks to the tfarecnim for the Enchanted Book Redesign mod!
does this work for modded enchants?
edit: nevermind, it does. However, it does not work properly for tiered curses, as there is only one curse texture.
Hi, i just curious if there are any plans to update to 1.18+?
does it need to be updated to 1.18.1 for me to use it in 1.18.1 or can i use the 1.16 in 1.18.1?
1.17.1 please?
would it be possible to have colors on books above V, they show up in JEI and I have obtained some of them, not sure what mod is adding above V but they seem to have designs already just not the colors
does this work with modded enchantments?
In reply to hunter_stevens:
it should unless they use a custom predicate

Any chance of a 1.12 backport? This seems like it could be super useful for mod packs that use older versions.
In reply to Tybonel1301:
no

Alrighty. Thanks for responding!
I recently came across a mod called "Nekos Enchanted Books". Its really nice, as it adds custom textures for many enchanted books. But because they're handmade textures for each, they only handle a subsection of the books that I have in my modpack. Would you be able to add a blacklist or something like that to allow certain books to have their "default" look, allowing other mods like Nekos to change them instead? As it stands now your mod overwrites all of them, while I would like it to just override books that Nekos doesn't touch.
Is something like this even possible for older versions? 1.7.10, perhaps?
Fabric version if possible...?

POG!!!!! That man is the savior! Thanks for letting me know.
Edit: How could I even forget it exists? I am so dumb.
Does this apply to enchantments in other mods?
In reply to Dev_Enter:
As someone using this mod with other mods that add enchantments, yes, it does work.
