EMI Remastered is our all-in-one item and recipe viewer for Fabric 1.21.1. It merges EMI and seven of its add-ons into one mod, then adds its own features, fixes and speed-ups.
EMI shows you how to craft things. EMI Remastered also shows you where everything comes from: which chest it is found in and in which structure, which mob drops it and how often, at what height an ore generates, which villager sells it, which potion or food gives an effect, and how far an enchantment really goes. You no longer have to tab out to a wiki.
Why use it?
- One jar instead of eight. EMI, EMI Loot, EMI Ores, EMIffect, EMI Enchanting, EMI Professions, Let's Do EMI Compat and Distraction Free Recipes, merged, updated and fixed.
- Everything about an item on one screen. Hover an item and press I.
- Faster. Loads quicker than EMI plus the separate add-ons. In a pack of about 640 mods, the reload when joining a world dropped from 23 to 18 seconds.
- Bugs fixed that crashed or broke the old add-ons, such as the Let's Do crash on every reload.
- Works with your other mods. It keeps EMI's mod id, so every mod with EMI support keeps working.
What you can do
Look up any item. Hover an item and press:
- R for recipes
- U for uses
- I for Item Info: every way to get it (crafting, loot, mob drops, ores, trades, brewing), what it's used for, and details like burn time and composting chance
On the item view, tabs let you switch between Info, Recipes and Uses.
Search by where things come from. Type ~ in the search bar:
~stronghold: everything found in stronghold chests~cleric: everything a cleric sells~nosource: items you can't get in survival
Loot. Chest, mob, block, fishing and archaeology loot with drop chances. It shows the conditions (Looting, Fortune, Silk Touch) and the structures each chest is found in, also for modded structures.
Ores. The height each ore generates at shown on a graph, plus the biomes and dimensions it appears in, modded dimensions included.
Mobs, biomes and structures. Pages for every mob (health, armour, damage, spawn biomes, drops), every biome and every structure.
Villagers. The real trades of every profession at every level, including the wandering trader and modded trades.
Effects and enchantments. Where every effect comes from, and each enchantment's real maximum level, what it can't be combined with and where to find it.
Stats. Food values, and tool, weapon and armour stats.
Tools for players and pack makers. A tag browser (T), copying a recipe as text or JSON (Ctrl+C), /emiexport for pack developers, and custom "Other Sources" entries through resource packs.
Your setup, your choice. One config screen with an on/off switch for every module, plus a plugin manager that can turn off any mod's EMI plugin (for example a second loot viewer).
Distraction free. EMI's side panels can stay hidden until you search.
Installing
- Remove EMI and these add-ons if you have them: EMI Loot, EMI Ores, EMIffect, EMI Enchanting, EMI Professions, Let's Do EMI Compat, Distraction Free Recipes. If one is left in, the game stops at start-up with an error naming the conflicting mod.
- Add EMI Remastered and Fabric API.
Your EMI favourites and settings carry over.
Works on the client alone. Install it on the server too to get the loot, ore, mob spawn and structure data in multiplayer.
Languages
English and German, plus EMI's existing translations.
