Changelog

v1.0.0-beta.2

Second beta of 1.0. Adds Fabric on every Minecraft version, fluid tasks, a drag to reorder chapter list, easier scene building and the fixes from the first round of beta reports.

Fabric

  • New Fabric jars for 1.20.1, 1.21.1, 26.1 (26.1 to 26.1.2) and 26.2. They bundle the LDLib2 Fabric port and Fabric Language Kotlin and need Fabric API. Quest files, commands and the editor work the same as on NeoForge and Forge
  • Integrations differ per loader: Create, Curios and Iron's Spells are not available on Fabric, AE2 and KubeJS exist on Fabric 1.20.1 only, and FTB Teams and FTB Chunks exist on Fabric 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 26.1 with Architectury. The create world falls back to workshop
  • Client side /eq subcommands run through Fabric's client command system, so tab completion for the server side subcommands is not shown while typing. The quest book and build guide keys show as conflicting in Controls, they still work only where they apply

Quests

  • New task type fluid: fluid (id or #tag), amount in millibuckets (a bucket holds 1000) and mode. detect counts fluid in buckets, tanks and other containers in the inventory and leaves it there, consume drains it on Submit. The editor has a Fluid task type with a fluid picker. /eq import ftbquests turns FTB Quests fluid tasks into it
  • The quest schema accepts progression and invisible_until_complete, so editors no longer flag quests that use them

Book

  • Book scale in Settings, Display, sets the GUI scale of the quest book while it is open. Auto follows the game
  • Pin chapter list in Settings, Display. Off, the chapter list tucks away as a thin strip and slides out over the map while you hover the left edge
  • Hover a task or reward item, or a quest node with an item icon, and press the recipe viewer's own key (R or U) to open its recipes or uses in EMI, JEI or REI
  • Hold Shift and roll the wheel to scroll sideways in the description editor, lore and JSON fields
  • The book button on the inventory screen also appears on the Curios and Inventorio screens, and keeps clear of other mods' buttons, slots drawn outside the inventory frame and the recipe book tabs
  • If the separate window cannot be opened the book opens in game and a toast says so. The window is now created without the game's OpenGL context held, the cause of the WGL error reported on Windows with Ixeris
  • Tracker scale, tracker max quests and notification volume are sliders. Chapter rows, inbox rows and reference chips fade on hover instead of swapping at once
  • Color chips in the book settings sit centered in their buttons

Editor

  • Esc in a quest, description or book editor with unsaved changes asks: Save and close (Enter or Ctrl+S), Keep editing (Esc again) or Discard. A clean editor still closes at once
  • Click an empty map cell to clear the selection. Dragging the map keeps it
  • Drag a chapter row to reorder it. An accent line shows where it lands, a folder header highlights to take it as its last chapter, several picked chapters move together, the list scrolls near its edges and one undo puts them back
  • New book from the chapter or book tab menu: give it an id and a title and the tab appears with the empty book
  • Number fields step with the mouse wheel and an emptied number field drops its key so the default applies. Fields that hold data tags, such as Emblem, have an edit button that opens a structured tag editor
  • A held drag after deleting text in the description editor no longer crashes the editor

Scenes

  • Ctrl+Z undoes a paint or a capture in the scene blocks editor, Ctrl+Y or the Redo button brings it back
  • Paint in the scene timeline: pick a chip or + for any block, left click a face in the preview to add a Place action to the selected step, right click a painted block to remove it or right click a base block to add a Remove action. Esc stops painting
  • One click capture: sneak and right click a block with the Scene Wand to select every solid block connected to it, or run /eq scene capture <name> here. Blocks below your feet are left out, so a build captures without the ground under it. Selections are clamped to 48 per side

Performance

  • Texture and media imports, scene captures, /eq theme new and /eq lang extract no longer trigger a full resource reload. The imported file, captured scene, new theme or new lang keys apply at once
  • World chapters build their world on the render thread, which fixes a rare crash when the world view and the game shared a random
