Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Changelog
1.0.0
first one. short version of whats in it:
Hands. Every item gets its own grip, so a sword doesnt sit in your hand the same way a torch does. Swings have weight. heavy tools lag a bit when you turn, light ones don't.
Third person. Characters lean into a run, the body rides the stride instead of sliding along the floor, arms come up on a jump and out on a fall. swimming and elytra have actual shapes now. All of it goes on top of the vanilla walk cycle, not instead of it.
Footprints are real geometry, not particles. they fade. different blocks, different marks.
Impact system. Landing, water and combat all share one thing that scales with how hard you actually hit. hop off a step, nothing happens. fall from a tower, you notice.
Combat + world. shield blocks, totem pops, mob hit feedback, arrows. Ore sparkles when you look at it, spawners ember, sculk goes blue. torches drop sparks. no shaders needed for any of it, that was on purpose.
QOL. damage numbers, a durability bar you can actually read, break progress, death coords in chat plus a compass back, xp popups, an fps graph that only shows up when frames are bad. most of it off by default, turn on what you want.
Needs Embellish API. F8 for settings, F7 kills every effect if you want to check whether something is the mod or not.
versions
26.2, 26.1.2, 1.21.1 and 1.20.1. fabric, forge and neoforge depending on which one.
no 1.12.2 sorry. its java 8 and this is written against java 17, thats a rewrite not a backport.
known
third person body animation doesnt work on forge 1.20.1. everything else does, hands, footprints, hud, all of it. its the one loader/version combo where that hook doesnt take and i couldnt get to the bottom of it. if you want the full thing on 1.20.1 use fabric.
