1.16.5 update! Finally!

 

The mechanism is ported from 1.12.2.

You can hold the forward/backward (W/S) key to accelerate/decelerate when fall flying and sprint in the air to get faster.

You can start/end fall flying via pressing a key.

Acceleration/deceleration will drain hunger as a cost.

Related parameters (how fast you can go, how much hunger it drains) are configurable in "serverconfig" in each world folder (server-side config).

 

I added CaelusAPI as a dependency, so the functions above should work with any mod adding items or abilities related to fall flying which uses CaelusAPI as well.

Need CaelusAPI of version 1.16.5-2.1.3.0 or above.
