Eerie Hauntings adds spirits that haunt players directly with auditory hallucinations and debuffs. These spirits can be exorcised for materials that can be used for buffs, protection, and equipment. Loosely inspired by games such as Ghost Hunters Corp and Phasmophobia.

The shorthand explanation

Every night there is a low chance a player can be haunted. Killing entities will increase the chance of being haunted at night. If you are not haunted at night, your chance resets to the base level. Otherwise a spirit will begin to haunt and mess with you. You'll need to use the EMF counter and old radio to figure out how the ghost should be dealt with, and get the proper tool to exorcise it. Using the wrong tool to exorcise may anger the spirit, so be careful!

  • Collect evidence by holding an Emf Counter or an Old Radio in your main hand
  • If the device goes off with a visual message in your action bar, your haunting spirit caused interference on your device
  • Unless easy mode is enabled, it is important you use the correct exorcism (noted in the item's description) at risk of angering the spirit.
  • Angering the spirit will make it more likely to use debuff actions against the player until sunrise.
  • During the day the spirit can only cause audio hallucinations.
  • Some special effects are used on stronger debuffs. These can be disabled in the client config if they are too intense or annoying to the user.
  • Several config options included for pack makers and server runners to customize their player's ghostly experiences.

  •  /eeriehauntings help - Lists out the commands this mod holds.
  •  /eeriehauntings forcehaunt <Player> - Forcibly haunts a player if they aren't already haunted.
  • /eeriehauntings removehaunt <Player> - Forcibly exorcises the ghost off of the selected player.
  • /eeriehauntings toggleanger <Player> - Toggles if a spirit is angry at the player or not
  • /eeriehauntings sethauntchance <Player> <0-100> - Sets the likelihood a player may be haunted when it becomes night
  • /eeriehauntings setprotectiondays <Player> <0-32 bit Integer Limit> - Sets the amount of days a player is immune to hunting
