Easy Sort

Easy Sort is a lightweight, vanilla-feel inventory and chest sorting mod for Fabric and NeoForge. One click (or a rebindable hotkey) sorts a container using a stable, configurable order and merges partial stacks — no forced GUI overhaul, no inventory-management suite bloat.

Features

• Sort ("S") — chests, double chests, barrels, trapped chests, ender chests, minecarts with chests, and shulker boxes
• Player inventory sorting ("I") — sorts your hotbar-adjacent main storage grid via a button or rebindable hotkey (default R); never touches your hotbar, equipped armor, or offhand item
• Restock ("R") — tops up your existing partial stacks from the open container; never hands you an item type you weren't already carrying
• Quick Stack ("Q") — moves everything in your inventory that the open container already has into it
• Settings ("G") — choose the primary sort key (mod / item ID / count / name); your preference is saved and follows you across servers
• Deterministic, stable sorting — the same inventory always sorts the same way
• Server-authoritative — safe in multiplayer, never trusts client claims about container contents

Status

Easy Sort is in active early development (alpha). Core sorting, Restock, Quick Stack, shulker box support, and the settings screen are all done on both Fabric and NeoForge. See the roadmap for what's next (bundles, locked/ignored slots, favorites).
