Easy Farmer's Delight Compat
Easy Farmer's Delight Compat is an independent compatibility addon that brings Farmer's Delight farming and cutting mechanics into Easy Villagers.
Instead of simply adding Farmer's Delight crops to the normal Farmer, the mod adds dedicated Farmer variants designed around crops that need special handling, along with new tools and machines that keep the compact and convenient style of Easy Villagers.
If you already know how the normal Easy Villagers Farmer works, the new Farmers should feel familiar: insert a Villager, give the machine what it needs, and collect the results automatically.
Farmer Variants
Paddy Farmer
The Paddy Farmer is specialized in crops that need a different setup from a normal farm.
It currently supports:
- Rice
- Sugar Cane
Give it Rice and it will automatically handle the complete Farmer's Delight Rice growth and harvesting cycle while keeping the plant ready to grow again.
For Sugar Cane, first give the Paddy Farmer Sand and then add Sugar Cane. It will grow the plant to its normal height and automatically harvest the upper sections while leaving the bottom section growing.
Rich Farmer
The Rich Farmer is an upgraded Farmer built with Farmer's Delight Rich Soil.
It keeps support for normal Easy Villagers crops while adding special farming behavior for:
- Tomatoes
- Up to two Rope sections for taller Tomato plants
- Red Mushroom Colonies
- Brown Mushroom Colonies
- Melons
- Pumpkins
Rich Soil helps supported crops grow faster while keeping their normal harvesting behavior.
The Rich Farmer also has a dedicated Harvest Tool slot, allowing it to use a Knife, Hoe or Axe depending on the crop.
Rich Paddy Farmer
The Rich Paddy Farmer combines the Paddy Farmer with Rich Soil and the Harvest Tool slot.
It supports the same Rice and Sugar Cane farming as the normal Paddy Farmer.
Rice benefits from Rich Soil and can optionally use a Knife for Knife-specific drops.
Sugar Cane keeps its normal growth speed and does not receive a Rich Soil speed bonus.
Harvest Tools
Rich Farmer and Rich Paddy Farmer can hold a Harvest Tool.
Different tools are useful for different crops:
- Knife — optional for Rich Paddy Rice and required to harvest mature Mushroom Colonies
- Hoe — optional for normal crops and Tomatoes, allowing enchantments such as Fortune where supported
- Axe — required for Melons and Pumpkins
Tools are only used when the current crop actually needs them.
Knife harvesting for Rice and Mushroom Colonies does not damage the Knife.
The Cutter
The Cutter is an automated Farmer's Delight Cutting Board powered by an Easy Villagers Villager.
It has:
- 4 input slots
- 4 output slots
- 1 protected Knife/Axe slot
- 1 stored Villager
Insert an adult Villager, provide a Knife or Axe, and add materials to the machine.
The Cutter automatically performs compatible Farmer's Delight Cutting Board recipes.
Axes can also perform familiar Minecraft actions such as:
- Stripping compatible Logs and wood
- Scraping oxidized Copper
- Removing wax from Copper
Compatible wood from other mods can also work when it supports normal Axe stripping.
The Cutter waits safely when the wrong tool is equipped or when the resulting items cannot fit, preventing lost inputs and unnecessary tool damage.
Cutter Variants
The Log used to craft the Cutter becomes its visible work surface.
Available vanilla variants include:
Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry and Bamboo.
All variants behave identically.
Villager Noise Switch
The Villager Noise Switch is a simple quality-of-life block for bases with lots of automated Villagers.
Insert an Easy Villagers Villager and use the switch to globally mute or restore Villager voices on your client.
Your preference is remembered when changing worlds or servers.
The Lever and Redstone visible inside the block are decorative and do not create an actual Redstone signal.
Automation
The machines are designed to work with normal item automation.
For the Cutter:
Top: inserts tools and materials Sides: insert materials Bottom: extracts finished products
The protected Harvest Tool slot cannot be extracted through normal item automation.
JEI & EMI Guides
Optional JEI and EMI support makes the mod easier to learn directly in-game.
The guides explain:
- What each Farmer can grow
- How Rice and Sugar Cane work
- Which Harvest Tool a crop needs
- How Tomatoes and Rope work
- How Mushroom Colonies are harvested
- How Melons and Pumpkins work
- Cutter Axe actions
- How to use the Cutter
- How to use the Villager Noise Switch
Farmer information is separated by machine, so you only see the farming information relevant to the Farmer you are checking.
With EMI, opening the Recipes view for one of the mod's machines also gives you a dedicated Block Guide tab beside its normal crafting information.
Jade Support
When Jade is installed, looking at the mod's machines provides useful information without needing to open their menus.
Depending on the machine, Jade can show things such as:
- Crop and growth progress
- Rich Soil status
- Sugar Cane growth
- Tomato and Rope progress
- Melon and Pumpkin growth
- Equipped Harvest Tools
- Missing Knife or Axe requirements
- Cutter progress and tool problems
- Villager Noise Switch status
Optional Crop Compatibility
