Dynamic Trees for Deeper and Darker

Turns Deeper and Darker's echo tree into a Dynamic Trees tree: it grows branch by branch from a seed, thickens with age and falls as a whole when the trunk is cut. In newly generated chunks it replaces the static echo trees of the Echoing Forest. Needs Dynamic Trees and Deeper and Darker.

The echo tree

• One species, grown in the cherry shape the original also uses, with its first branches 5 blocks up.
• Sculk Gleam grows on the tree, at most 3 at a time.
• Branches drop Echo Logs and sticks and can be stripped.

Echo Seed

• The Echo Seed plants the dynamic tree. Leaves drop it, and an Echo Sapling crafted with a Dynamic Trees dirt bucket gives one.
• A placed Echo Sapling stays static unless replaceVanillaSaplings is on in the Dynamic Trees config.

The Echoing Forest

• The Echoing Forest, the one Otherside biome with trees, generates dynamic echo trees.
• Only chunks generated after installing change. Trees already standing stay static.
• Blooming stems and the other three Otherside biomes are not touched.

Soil and light in the Otherside

• Echo Soil and Sculk Grime count as soil for Dynamic Trees. Without that, nothing would root in the Otherside.
• Sculk is not registered, so the tree does not root on it. Echo Seeds can also be planted on ordinary dirt and grass.
• Dynamic Trees leaves normally need sky light, and the Otherside has none. Echo leaves are set to need no light, so the tree grows there and in any other dark place.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21, NeoForge 21.1, on the server and the client. Needs Dynamic Trees 1.7.2 or newer and Deeper and Darker 1.4 or newer; built against Dynamic Trees 1.7.2 and Deeper and Darker 1.4.1. The growth shape is Dynamic Trees' own cherry, used under its MIT licence.

This mod has been abandoned. It works fine, but it will not receive updates.
