Description

Fixes and additions for Simple Clouds - mostly about how clouds behave far away, at night, and under a shaderpack. It does not change the base mod's feel.
Inside a cloud
Flying into one now looks like being inside one. The faces go solid, the inside fills with haze out to a distance you set, motes drift past - more of them in a storm - and there is an optional cloud-coloured fog for when you are not on shaders.

Inside a cumulonimbus.
At night
Simple Clouds crushes its dark range after sunset. This opens it back up, adds a cool moonlit cast, and lights the cloud edges facing the moon. The glow follows the real moon phase rather than eight even steps.
Far away
Distant clouds stop collapsing into single big blocks. You can cap how coarse they get, thin out or hide tiny far clouds so the horizon is not cluttered, and sweep up stray floating cubes - without eating into real clouds.

Under a shaderpack
Iris replaces Simple Clouds' own cloud shader and takes some of its behaviour with it, so there is a fade at the render edge, a soft edge where a cloud meets terrain, and a fix for the mottled noise on one cloud seen through another.

Under Iris.

And with no shaderpack.
Storm fog and distant rain
The distant rain wall used to be cut off by clouds as well as by terrain. Now only terrain stops it. Cloud fog also gets its own range, so the sky stops flattening into a sheet of fog colour past a certain distance.
Ban a cloud type
Any cloud type can be blocked from spawning. You do not get fewer clouds, just different ones. It also catches clouds other mods create.

The blacklist screen.
Two performance switches
One on by default, which removes work Simple Clouds does every frame and never uses. One off by default and labelled experimental, which is a large FPS win when it behaves.
