Dylan's Gems and Such
My first mod, uhh so yeah
I was heavily inspired by my favorite games and other Minecraft mods to make this, please enjoy!
Features;
Dylan's Gems and Such hosts a whole slew of new content to the game including, but not limited to, new ores, weapons, armor, and tools that can be crafted and upgraded at a smithing table as new more powerful materials are obtained.
The Gems

The biggest feature of this mod would have to be the slew of gems that now spawn into (or can be crafted) in your world.
Each one has unique uses and items that can be crafted from them. The goal of this is to create more longevity to the average Minecraft world and give the player something powerful to work towards as they play. They provide many fun alternatives to the way you play and could probably make you win the lottery in the real world.
RUBY
You know it, you love it. Now put your hands together for everyone's favorite unused gem! In this mod it can make you a full set of tools and armor that may or may not be able to be upgraded as you go ;). Also make sure to craft yourself up a nice gauntlet with our next new gem...
LABRADORITE
This puppy (no pun intended) is useful in the early to mid stages of the game as it can be combined with amethyst to give you a little boost in power. Make sure to give it a nice right click, or maybe pop it into a dispenser. Something funny might happen.
CHALCEDONY
With a texture design ripped straight from a certain gacha game, this gem is all about collecting. Make a handful of blocks and combine em with a nether star to start unleashing some serious power into your world. Many of the unique weapons offered by this mod can be slightly upgraded to take your build to a whole new level.
SAPPHIRE
Found in the deep ocean, this gem will surely take your breath away. Craft the mythical 'Blade of the Deep' and start slashing your foes away until they are left sore and at the bottom of a nearby lake. Or maybe just make a pretty necklace and live out your dreams of being an Olympic swimmer. Your choice.
ONYX

Brave the depths of the sculk and this dark gem can be yours. With combat effects balanced around disorienting your opponents and gaining an upperhand what's not to love. Make sure you're sneaking when you try to mine it though. We wouldn't want any wardens to show up...
GARNET
Orange garnet hits the scene as the premier absurdly rare gemstone of the day. Find it near the bottom of the world and then hold the power of fire in your measly mortal hands.
RUTILE
Of course this mod doesn't keep itself to the overworld, and this gem is proof. Find rutilated quartz high up in the nether and finally upgrade that wimpy ruby armor set you call your friend. It is insanely strong, but highly fragile. So mind that durability bar.
MOISSANITE
Far out in the reaches of the end it is fabled a mystical gem awaits those who go seeking it. Be careful mining it and you just might have a powerful addition to your arsenal. Get yourself some gem alloy by smashing it together with rutile and all your dreams will come true. If your dreams include making marginally better tools and weaponry that is.
MALACHITE
This lovely gem can be found in naturally spawning copper clusters where it is sitting there in its highly oxidized glory. Harness its magical powers through a tome or make your floor out of it. I'm not your boss. Whatever it is you decide to do, though, I am sure it will be lovely.
ALEXANDRITE

The magical color changing gem makes its debut as a rare find deep in the mines. Harness the power of changing times and light to change its hue and maybe learn a thing or two about the human condition y'know.
JADE
From the far reaches of whever the wandering trader is from comes jade. This rare gem can be pieced together by finding fragments hidden in all those lovely structures that dot your landscape. If you are in a real rush to obtain its power, however, the wandering trader might be willing to help you out. At a price of course.
WATERMELON TOURMALINE
This tasty looking treat is watermelon tourmaline, which is a real gem. Look it up seriously it is so cool. Find it fairly commonly just under the surface and gorge yourself on its sweet glory. Or feel free to experiment and try to upgrade its nutrional value by putting it on a stick.
ENRICHED AMETHYST
By combining labradorite with amethyst shards you can get yourself a swanky new polished stone. Use it smartly and you can get some powerful upgrades on your side.
The Weapons

On top of the new gem nonsense, the old Minecraft materials got a swanky new weapon type at their disposal. Faster than an axe, and more damage than a sword. What's not to love? Spears using gems from this mod also possess magical powers to be explored in game.

If spears aren't up your alley try our selection of other awesome weapons! Their custom 3D models, enchantments, and unique effects are sure to blow your socks clean off.
The Tools

These guys are pretty self explanatory, craft em and use em. That's the Minecraft way.
The Armor

What self respecting Minecraft mod does not add some fun armor sets? This mod certainly does, and boy do these ones do some fun things. Each crown has a unique effect that will surely boost your feelings of power. The provided gauntlets also give a hefty boost to your combat capabilities. There are also some more lowkey non-special armor sets if that is more your speed. Everyone should have fun here.
The Curios

Using the power of the awesome Curios API, this mod also offers a couple cool and unique accessories to compliment your already growing arsenal. Amulets that grant buffs. Rings that also do that same thing. And a pair of rockets that let you double jump!
All great things I assure you.
Don't just take it from me, see what real users are saying about this wonderful mod...

The power is in your hands to go out and kick some butt. Enjoy!
And feel free to leave comments or suggestions on what you would like to see in future versions! :D
This mod is intended to be played with JEI, but all recipes should be awarded upon successful advancement progression. So don't fret if JEI isn't in your modpack.
