Collect Dungeons-inspired Cape Relics and wear them as your cape. Each relic is earned out in the world: traded, looted, hunted, or stumbled into, then equipped in a dedicated cape slot. While a relic is worn, it fully replaces your vanilla Minecraft cape.
This is a collection and cosmetic mod. Relics do not grant combat stats. They are trophies of what you have done.
The world does not spell out how to find them. Advancements keep the hints. The rest is yours to work out.

Features
- A dedicated cape slot on Fabric (Trinkets
chest/cape), with the chestplate slot as fallback. Forge and NeoForge use the chestplate slot.
- Vanilla cape replacement. An equipped relic is the cape you wear. No second cape layered on top.
- Provenance. Relics remember who found them, and who later forged them onto a shield.
- Advancement tree. Relics of Adventure, Treasured Relics, Relics of Battle, and a Relic Collector challenge for gathering them all.
- Cape Stand. A placeable display for showing a relic off in the world.
- Shield forging. Apply a relic to a shield the same way you apply a banner.
Vanilla trades and loot tables are never replaced. Cape finds are added alongside what you already know.

Wearing a relic
- Obtain a cape relic.
- Equip it in the cape slot (Fabric with Trinkets) or the chestplate slot (Forge, NeoForge, or Fabric without Trinkets).
- Your player cape updates to that relic's texture.
Only one relic can be worn at a time. Unequip it to return to your vanilla cape, if you have one.

Cape Stand
Craft a Cape Stand to display a relic:

Place it, then use a cape relic on the stand. Shift + empty-hand right-click toggles whether the cape hangs to the back or the front.

Shield forging
Place a shield and a cape relic in a crafting grid.
- The cape is consumed and becomes the shield's inner design.
- The shield is renamed to match the cape (for example Royal Shield) and keeps that cape's rarity.
- Place the decorated shield alone in a crafting grid to recover the cape. The shield in the grid becomes a plain shield again.
- A shield that already has a banner or cape design cannot be decorated again.
- Mystery Cape cannot be applied to shields.
