Lighter carriage checks

Looking up a carriage's blocks now costs the same however big the carriage is, so the wind and other checks around the train stay cheap on long and wide carriages.

Quieter logs

The game log no longer fills with the same few lines repeated thousands of times. Bug reports now carry the part that matters, and the game spends less time writing to disk while you play.

Rain leans with the wind under shader packs

Deep down the line the train wind already tilts the rain. With a shader pack on, the rain was too faint and too busy with the pack's own sway for that lean to show. It now reads there too: the rain leans harder and falls thicker while the wind blows, so you can see which way it is coming from. Without shaders nothing changes.

  • Rain visibly leans with the wind under shader packs
  • No change to the rain without shaders

Some places pull you in

Deep down the line, some of the stranger places have a pull of their own. Step off the train near one and you drift toward it, land on it, and can jump free again. Whatever you throw or shoot curves in too, and the wind dies away there.

  • Riders out on the roof feel a gentle tug. Inside a carriage you feel nothing.
  • Strength, reach and how the pull lets go are all in the config.
