Description
Dochi Cobblemon Editor
Build complete Cobblemon NPC experiences from in-game editors: trainer battles, wild-style Pokémon encounters, cinematic battle intros, dynamic battle sounds, Pokémon markets, healing NPCs, starter selection, reusable clones, and more.
Dochi Cobblemon Editor is a Fabric 1.21.1 addon for DRM Core. It connects CustomNPCs NPCs to real Cobblemon parties and battles while keeping authoring inside DRM's familiar Load, Save As, and Apply workflow.
Version 0.1.6 highlights
- One addon JAR supports Cobblemon 1.7.3 and 1.8.x.
- A redesigned three-panel Battle Rules workspace keeps navigation, rule details, and searchable catalogs separate.
- Common rules can be inherited or overridden by each of up to 16 rounds.
- Battle formats include Singles, Doubles, Triples, and Lead Duel.
- Configure authored, fixed, or player-party-average battle levels.
- Control battle items, held items, Legendary Pokémon, lead selection, and Mega, Tera, or Dynamax permission.
- Search the installed item catalog and click an item to block or allow it immediately.
- Play custom sounds when the trainer reaches a configured remaining-party count, with common and per-round settings.
- Move pickers use the selected species, form, and aspects to show server-confirmed learnable moves.
- DRM Strategy now evaluates spread and automatic-target moves, including type matchups, STAB, multiple targets, and ally damage.
- Editor navigation, long labels, inventory drafts, previews, localization, and battle-item enforcement have been corrected.
Trainers and Pokémon encounters
- Trainer battles with up to six Pokémon per round
- Up to 16 rounds with independent parties, AI, rules, conditions, dialogue, and result-based After Actions
- Interaction, vision, or radius encounters with optional chase and battle positioning
- Per-player or global availability, rematches, cooldowns, and post-battle NPC behavior
Pokemon ItselfNPCs that use one fully configured Pokémon in a real PVE battle- Species, form, aspects, gender, shiny state, nature, ability, moves, Poké Ball, held item, IVs, EVs, Tera type, Dynamax level, and Gigantamax factor
Battle rules
Open Battle Rules from the trainer's Rounds screen. Choose Common Rules or a specific round, then configure:
- Singles, Doubles, Triples, or Lead Duel
- Original levels, player-party average plus offset, or fixed battle levels
- Player and trainer lead selection
- Battle-item permission, per-side use limits, minimum turn, and target-HP limits
- Searchable blocked battle-item IDs
- Held-item restrictions and Legendary Pokémon restrictions
- Mega, Tera, and Dynamax permission for both sides
Lead Duel creates one-Pokémon Singles battle parties without deleting the authored parties. NPC gimmick equipment and battle rules are separate: equipment prepares the round's NPC, while the battle rule decides whether the mechanic is allowed.
Rules are enforced by the server. Blocked bag items, revives, and capture items are rejected before consumption, and use limits also apply to Creative players.
Trainer AI, parties, and items
- DRM Strategy with six independent 0–100 tuning values
- Beginner, Standard, Expert, and Boss presets with a readable AI assessment
- Searchable strategy plans and a configurable random-party generator
- Trainer battle bags with healing, status, revive, PP, and boost-item policies
- General inventory for gimmick key items and other trainer-owned requirements
- Optional RCT and Cobblemon Strong AI engines
- Optional RCT datapack trainer importer with search and paging
RCT is not required. If RCT is absent or its call fails, the addon falls back safely at its own integration boundary.
Battle sounds
Create trainer-owned sound rules for remaining-party counts from one to six. The count includes active and benched Pokémon, and each configured count plays at most once per battle.
- Shared rules for all rounds
- Per-round
Use global,Custom, orOffmodes - Searchable sound-ID catalog and preview controls
- Volume from 0 to 4 and pitch from 0.05 to 4
- Optional stop-first behavior for current battle audio and sounds started by these rules
Battle sounds are separate from the Battle Presentation timeline and work independently of the selected AI engine.
Battle Presentation Maker
Create a full-screen introduction before the real battle begins:
- Labels, textures, color layers, player and opponent actors
- Timeline movement, fades, easing, crop, scale, rotation, and Z order
- Stage backgrounds, poses, intro audio, and battle music
- Searchable, paged image browser with lazy-loaded thumbnails
PokéMart
- Sell configured Pokémon with per-NPC stock and restocking
- Build permanent Pokémon trades with eligibility rules
- Run auction houses with listings, bids, buyouts, escrow, tax, and claim storage
- Use DRM Currency, item currency, or optional CobbleDollars
- Server-side search and paging for large catalogs, PC storage, auctions, and claims
- Customize player-facing layouts with DRM GUI Maker
More NPC tools
- Nurse Joy healing dialogue and healing-machine linkage
- Starter Selector cards with conditions, sounds, and success actions
- A DRM Dialogue action that opens a selected or NPC-bound Starter Selector
- Clone Library for reusable Trainer and Pokemon NPC sources
- Compatibility with DRM Core NPC Spawner
- Dedicated Cobblemon appearance editor for CustomNPCs NPCs
Designed for creators
Most content is authored through in-game editor screens instead of hand-writing JSON. Saved documents live under config/dochi_rpg_maker/cobblemon/, can be reused across NPCs, and can track their source file so later saves are reflected in new interactions.
Bundled defaults are protected templates. Use Save As to create your own files before customizing them.
Required
