Skywyrms – ride elemental dragons
Six big elemental dragons you can tame, saddle, ride and fly. Each one has its own model, its own animations and its own ability: fire, frost, lightning, venom, void and water.

- Wild dragons live in fitting biomes, circle above their home and stay neutral until you hit them
- Tame, saddle and ride: only the owner can ride a tamed dragon
- Multiplayer ready: tested on dedicated servers with two players at once
- Simple config for natural spawning and block effects
The dragons
| Dragon | Where it lives | Ability (ability key) | Extra |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ember Wyrm | badlands, savanna, desert, the Nether | Fire Breath (hold): a stream of fire that burns everything in front of it and can set blocks alight | immune to fire, rider gets Fire Resistance |
| Frost Wyrm | snowy and frozen biomes | Frost Breath (hold): freezes and slows targets, puts out fire, turns water to frosted ice | cannot freeze, neither can its rider |
| Storm Wyrm | mountains, hills, plains, meadows | Lightning Strike (press): a bolt where you look that jumps to up to three more targets | the fastest flyer |
| Thorn Wyrm | forests, jungles, taiga, swamps | Venom Spit (press): a glob of venom that leaves a poison cloud | the toughest, immune to poison |
| Void Wyrm | the End | Void Blink (press): teleports up to 28 blocks ahead and hits everything around the arrival point | strongest bite |
| Tide Wyrm | oceans, beaches, rivers | Tidal Jet (hold): a water jet with heavy knockback and extra damage to fire creatures | swims fast, breathes under water, rider gets Water Breathing |
Ember Wyrm – Fire Breath

Storm Wyrm – Lightning Strike

Thorn Wyrm – Venom Spit

Tide Wyrm – Tidal Jet

Void Wyrm – Void Blink

Taming and riding
- Feed it meat (any raw or cooked meat; the Tide Wyrm also takes fish). Each piece has a 1 in 3 chance to tame it. Hearts mean it worked.
- Right-click with a saddle to saddle it (shears take the saddle off again).
- Right-click with an empty hand to climb on.
- Sneak + right-click tells it to stay or follow. Meat heals a tamed dragon.
| Control | Key (Options → Controls → Skywyrms) |
|---|---|
| Steer | look around, W A S D |
| Take off / fly up | Space |
| Fly down | X |
| Ability | R (hold for breath abilities) |
| Dismount | Left Shift |
In the air the dragon flies where you look. Land by flying down onto the ground. The bar above the hotbar shows the ability's energy; it refills by itself. If you jump off in mid-air you float down and the dragon glides to the ground on its own.

Every dragon also has a spawn egg (creative tab Skywyrms) and can be summoned with /summon skywyrms:ember_wyrm (or frost_wyrm, storm_wyrm, thorn_wyrm, void_wyrm, tide_wyrm).
