This mod was created for SkyFactory4. It causes the ender dragon to instantly die the first time it tries to spawn (with world creation).
It will also kill all first-spawn ender crystals and create the portal back home.

A few questions...
Will it still kill the dragon if the mod is applied after the creation of a world?
Assuming there are items on the ground in the end, will those be removed too, or just the end crystals?

Yes, the dragon dies immediately when you enter The End. End Crystals get destroyed, the iron bar cages surrounding some of them remain intact. The Dragon Egg still spawns.
Alright! Something that I've been looking for for quite sometime. I hope it also deletes the dragon egg as well.
What about the ender pearl portal?
Does that get removed too or does it automatically spawn? Can it be removed or have it not spawn?
There are atleast two mods out there, Progressive Bosses and Equal Dragons, that make every dragon act as the first killed dragon with the same xp and always dropping an egg. Would that be something you would consider adding to this mod?
What about mods, such as Quark, that have a special activator upon the dragon's death (biotite spawns once the dragon is killed, which is configurable)? Is there some sort of work around that would stop those mods from activating upon the dragon's first death, but work every time after?
Thank you so very much for this and I will be adding it to all my packs from this point forward (unless there's some horrible or annoying crash that happens :P ).

Theoretically all of that is possible. However, I don't think this mod will evolve beyond what it currently does, as it is designed to do exactly what it does now and nothing more (since this specific action was unobtainable using MC functions in SF4).
Maybe in the future, but it may be a while.

So I guess then my main question is does the dragon egg and all the drops from the dragon still spawn upon its death?
The other thing I'm wonder is if the global sound for the ender dragon death still activates?

Yeah those all spawn. When the dragon spawns it takes 9000 explosion damage, which triggers all normal death mechanics. That also plays the sound, so without one of those mods that makes it not global, everyone will hear it.
I could probably add the variant back where it killed it as if it used /kill, but that doesn't spawn the portal back home.

Sadly, for all other uses, makes the mod useless since it still drops everything including the egg. I'm guessing the entire dragon death is one event unless somehow the creation of the portal could be isolated. I don't suppose the whole portal structure could just be pasted with portal blocks and all?
Well damn, really thought this mod would once and for all prevent giving free dragons to those that first find the end portal. The alternative would be to somehow spawn or activate the dragon creation ritual for each player that goes through the end portal, but only for the first time excluding the first player to go to the end. It would have to log a player's name and/or UUID and could activate with their end advancement.
It would be nice to have a mod that would roll all these features into one:
Killing the dragon and removing all drops including the egg
Making it so every dragon summoned acted as the first dragon killed each time
Globally muffled the death of the dragon, but for only those not in the vicinity.
