Paintings for the fusuma

Nine of them — pine, bamboo, cherry blossom, autumn maple, the great wave, a waterfall, a mountain, the moon and koi.

Each is crafted from two paper and one thing that names it: a spruce sapling for the pine, bamboo for the bamboo, a feather's worth of tropical fish for the koi, flint for the mountain, glowstone dust for the moon. The ingredient is meant to be guessable without a wiki.

Put one on a fusuma with the painting in hand. Take it off with a brush and it comes back whole; paint over one and the old painting is handed back rather than destroyed. Break a painted door and the painting drops with it.

A painting covers the whole door, not one panel and not one leaf — so a four-wide door carries a wider picture rather than the same one stretched, and opening it parts the picture down the middle, which is what a set of fusuma does. It reads correctly from both sides of the door, and it slides with the panel.

Fixed

• Opening a sliding door demolished it and built it again, which had always been wasted work — a sliding door stands in the same columns open and shut — and became a real bug the moment a door had something worth keeping on it.

Requirements

Minecraft 26.2. On Fabric it also needs Fabric API. If your launcher supplies its own Java instead of the bundled runtime, it has to be Java 25 or newer.
