What's new
Sliding doors
Fusuma in 12 woods and a sliding glass door, two and four blocks wide. 26 new doors.
They slide aside instead of swinging out, and they need no cavity in the wall to do it. A leaf is two panels on two tracks: shut they stand side by side, open one runs behind the other, so the space the door takes open is the space it took shut. Nothing is carved out of what you built around it. A two-wide door leaves a doorway of one block; a four-wide one leaves two, parting from the middle.
They glide rather than snapping, and they open by hand and by redstone.
New component
The Sliding Track — two planks and a stick make four. Two tracks, two paper and two planks give two fusuma; swap the paper for glass and the planks for iron ingots for the sliding glass door.
Fixed
- Doors took longer to break than the vanilla door beside them. They belonged to no tool tag, so an axe or a pickaxe gave no bonus on them. Every door now belongs to exactly one tool, and breaks in the time it should.
Under the hood
84% fewer blockstates — 173,568 down to 28,096. Every property is now carried only by the doors that actually use it, so the mod costs about what the whole vanilla block set costs, with 226 doors in it. It loads quicker and holds less memory, and nothing about the doors themselves changed.
Doors placed in 0.2.0 keep working.
