DMZ Ragnarok
Custom races, forms, dragon balls, space travel and combat for DragonMine Z, all built from in-game editors.
DMZ Ragnarok is an addon for DragonMine Z on Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge). It gives you editors for building your own DMZ content, three extra dragon ball sets with their own dragons, a movement and clash combat layer, and the shared core that the Dungeons, Raids, Tournaments and Space modules all build on.
Everything is edited in game through menus. No datapacks, no JSON to hand-write, no restarts to see a change.
It is required on both the client and the server. The client needs it for the editors, models and HUDs.
It all works in singleplayer, on LAN and on any server
There is nothing to buy or unlock. Every feature listed on this page runs the same in a singleplayer world, over LAN, and on a dedicated server. A small set of server management tools exists only on the official Ragnarok network and is not part of this download.

Two ways to install, one build
DMZ Ragnarok 1.5.0 comes in two shapes from the same version. Pick one, never both.
- The all-in-one jar.
dmz_ragnarok-1.5.0.jarfrom this page carries everything: core plus Dungeons, Raids, Tournaments and Space. Drop it in and you are done. - The modular set. This DMZ Ragnarok core jar plus whichever of the four module jars you want (Dungeons, Raids, Tournaments, Space). Each module page has its own download.
Rules that keep it stable:
- Never install the all-in-one jar alongside any module jar. Forge will report a duplicate mod and refuse to start, because the all-in-one jar already contains those modules.
- Module jars need this core jar. They will not load on their own.
- Existing worlds load unchanged either way. There is no migration between the all-in-one jar and the modular set.
- Removing a module from a world that used its content is refused at startup. The server stops and names the jar to put back, rather than silently turning that module's blocks into air and dropping its entities. If you really mean to drop it and accept the loss, start with
-Ddmzr.allowContentRemoval=true(or-Ddmzr.allowSpaceRemoval=truewhen Space is the only thing being removed).
This mod replaces five older ones
DMZ Ragnarok is the successor to Shurui's DMZ Utilities, Shurui's Utilities, Shurui's DMZ Dungeons, Shurui's Raid Bosses and Shurui's DMZ Tournaments. All five are now one codebase with one version number, shipped as the all-in-one jar or the modular set above. Remove the old five before installing this.
What's new in 1.5.0
- Split into core plus four optional modules, or one all-in-one jar. Run the whole suite, or just the parts you want.
- Super Shenron power wish. A new wish on Super Shenron grants 100,000,000 TP plus 25% of each current stat past the normal cap, up to three times per character slot.
- Korin's nimbus can now hand you a Nimbus Chip.
- Four decorative space console blocks for building bridges and control rooms.
- Form alignment gates in the form editor: lock a transformation behind good or evil alignment.
- More is public. Hoverbikes, every tournament format and every raid type (except rifts) are now available to everyone.
- 232 dead placeholder items removed. On first boot after upgrading, the log lists them as missing ids. This is expected and harmless. Any of those items a player still held is gone.
- Many item loss and duplication fixes: dying while changing worlds, cursor and crafting-grid items, a backpack crash, dragon balls across restarts, the ocarina item, the senzu bag count, and the zeni shop selling worn armour.
Content editors
The core of the mod. Build your own DMZ content from menus instead of files, and see it without restarting. Open the hub with /rg edit.
Races and subraces. Create races with their own models, textures, hair, auras, body colours, stat scaling and unlock rules. Set body types, genders and face options, or point a race at one of DMZ's own models to get something working immediately.
Forms and transformations. Build transformation lines with their own models, auras, stat multipliers, drain rates and unlock conditions, and slot them onto any race you have made. Optional alignment gates lock a form behind good or evil.
Custom NPCs. GeckoLib NPCs with DMZ fighter movesets and AI tiers, so they teleport, dodge and block the way saga fighters do. Give them stats, gear, drops and rewards, and pick their model from any pack you have installed.
Sagas and quests. Quest chains and side quests with their own objectives, rewards and gating, written through the same editor.
Wishes. Edit what each dragon grants, including item, command and stat wishes.
Asset packs. Drop a resource pack in and its models, hairs and auras appear in the editors automatically. A starter pack with worked examples is generated for you on first run, so there is something to copy rather than a blank folder.
Editing is operator-gated and validated on the server, so it is safe to hand to trusted staff.
Three more dragon ball sets
On top of DMZ's own seven stars, the mod adds three complete sets, each with its own blocks, radar and dragon with its own wish list.
Black Star Balls. Scattered across the world and beyond it. Gather all seven within the week or the planet is destroyed, which is the Apophis event.
Super Dragon Balls. Planet-sized, scattered across space, and guarded. The Gods of Destruction come with them.
Cerulean Balls. A fourth set with its own dragon and its own wishes.
The corrupted dragon ball cycle. Wish too often and the balls answer differently. Corrupted balls scatter, they can be defiled, and what comes out at the end of that ladder is a set of shadow dragon bosses and a shadow dragon race you have to earn. There is also an SSG knowledge wish.
Movement and combat
- Dash on a double tap, with the pacing DMZ's own numbers were tuned for.
- Melee clash, a timed duel when two fighters meet mid-swing.
- Going through terrain at speed, both the sonic boom a maxed flier sets off and the crash a clash loser gets slammed into.
Items, tools and everyday content
- Curios chips: the Space Pod Chip and Nimbus Chip (a black nimbus for evil alignment), plus a Time Machine chip.
- Hoverbikes to get around.
- Senzu beans: plant them, farm them, and carry a senzu bag.
- Saibaman seeds: plant, grow and harvest a tamed saibaman pet.
- Katchin tools and blocks.
- Mini clone technique, taught by new masters: Tien at Kame House and Buu in his house, which generates in the world. Buu teaches only Majins, Cell teaches only Bio-Androids, and Piccolo and Tien teach everyone else.
- Character slots (
/character). - Ragnarok Gi.
- Terrain regeneration tools.
- Tinted particles for creators:
dmz_ragnarok:tinted_dustanddmz_ragnarok:tinted_glow, with independent colour, scale and lifetime. - Runes, placed with the operator command
/rune.
Cosmetics
Form cosmetics. Recolour and restyle a form's aura, body, hair, eyes and outline.
Patreon perks. Link a Patreon account in the cosmetics screen for a supporter crown in chat and a wardrobe of cosmetics that follows your active tier.
The modules
The four optional modules build on this core. Install them from the all-in-one jar or add their jars to the modular set.
- DMZ Ragnarok Dungeons: the advanced spawner block, WorldEdit selection tools, dungeon rules and warps.
- DMZ Ragnarok Raids: raid bosses with configurable health, damage, loot and arenas, boss music and phase bars.
- DMZ Ragnarok Tournaments: every tournament format with a fully automated bracket.
- DMZ Ragnarok Space: travel to planets and moons, planet claims, Planet Buster and the Gods of Destruction.

Upgrading
From 1.1.x or from the five old addons: remove all old suite jars and any old key jars first, then install 1.5.0. Your worlds carry over. On first boot the log lists 232 removed placeholder items as missing ids. This is expected and harmless.
About old keys. Shurui's Key, Popo's Key, Wolf's Key and the Kinetic Key are retired. They unlock nothing on 1.5.0 and should be removed. The Kinetic Hosting banner at the top is a hosting affiliate link, not a key.
Getting started
- Install it on the server and give it to your players as well.
- Open the editor hub with
/rg edit. - Make a race or a form, or edit one of DMZ's, and reload to see it.
- Try a dragon ball set, or a hoverbike, or the mini clone masters.
- Add the modules you want (Dungeons, Raids, Tournaments, Space) for spawners, raids, brackets and space travel.
