Dirty Clothes

Armor and clothing get dirty from walking, mining, and combat — gradually losing protection until washed clean in a water cauldron or rinsed by rain and rivers.

What's new

v1.3.0

New

  • Combat dirt variance: taking a hit no longer guarantees dirt on your helmet/chestplate. Two new options, Helmet hurt dirt chance and Chest hurt dirt chance (default 50% each), roll independently per piece — a single hit might dirty just the helmet, just the chestplate, both, or neither. Great for modpacks with frequent/brutal combat where guaranteed dirt-per-hit piled up too fast.
  • Rinse cooldown is now its own setting (Rinse cooldown ticks, default 60 ticks / 3 seconds), separate from the general dirt cooldown that governs mining/combat. Water and rain rinsing used to fire every second, which felt too fast — now paced independently. Water/rain rinse amounts also raised (2-3 → 10) to compensate for the slower cadence.

Fixed

  • "Show armor tooltip lines" could get stuck off even after re-enabling it. If an armor piece had ever been dirty while this option was turned off, its "+X/-X Armor" tooltip lines stayed permanently hidden on that specific item — even after switching the option back on. Existing affected items fix themselves automatically the next time they're equipped/dirtied; no need to re-craft anything.
