Desertification (an 'infection' mod)

Adds an "infectious" desert to your world (that will not spawn on its own). This desert can also "cleanse" other infections. Contrary to most infection mods you can live in this desert.

0.41 Vengeful husks, fixes and tweaks

You should probably lower the desert's speed in your config if you changed it and it is strictly above 1, and you want to keep the same speed

As always, back up your world(s)

Thanks for the 20k downloads !

Added vengeful animals husks

Sometimes spawn after an animal is killed in the desert

Drops crystallized tears

Fixes

Fixed a crash due to the bottomless water bucket in 1.20.1

Fixed the Sandshaper sand's color

Fixed colored unstable desert sand sticking to normal sand

Various fixes related to sand color

  • Wrong block being restored in suspicious sand, causing spare white (desert) sand blocks
  • Sandshaper not accounting for sand color (as cited above)
  • Sandstorm's color not being saved
  • Cavern anti-clogging not working with colored sand
  • Wrong sand color being restored with flash floods
  • ...

Fixed the mod's slabs not dropping the right amount of items

Added an electric spark particle

Used for overcharged stuff

The desert should now work better when under a barrier roof

Mobs and wind gusts should now spawn properly

It should also work a little better in dimensions with a ceiling (not any guarantees for that though)

Rabbits can now spawn in the desert

Glass skeletons now leave a glass shard block when killed

Non-persistent if not killed by a player

Added a global health multiplier for the mod's mobs in the config

Desert speed now better match the value set in the config (it can now also be set up to x3)

You should maybe change the speed in your config if your it is strictly above 1

It is now faster at speed strictly above 1 (no change for the default value or lower)

Natural Overcharged Crystals now sometimes leave behind a dead bush or dead coral (looks like petrified plant) when breaking a plant, and are more efficient a breaking plants and leaves

Added desert:check_state mcfunction (/function)

Used to query some stats about the loaded desert

Sparse sand block of different colors will now be replace by the desert (configurable)

Improved performance

Added a config option to make overcharged wind gusts place desert sand (disabled by default)

Added compatibility with No Man's Land

Related to sand paths

Added compatibility with Countered's Terrain Slabs

Added dry dirt slab

Added (some) compatibility with Burnt

Other compatibility improvement and fixes

Phayriosis, Dynamic Trees (rooty sand not being cleared properly), Neep MEAT (partial), Good Ending (partial) ...
