Denser Ores is a modern remake of RWTema's classic Dense Ores. A small share of the ores in every new chunk generate as dense ores: tougher-looking versions with the same hardness and tool requirements, but they drop 3x the loot and smelt into 3x the ingots.
🧩 Optional Integrations
Install any of these and every one of their ores gets a dense version automatically. No addons required.
Ores from any other mod can be added in the config.
📦 Requirements
Install on both client and server, and use the same config on both.
⛏️ Features
- 3x drops. Mining a dense ore rolls the ore's own loot table three times. Fortune, Silk Touch (gives you the dense ore itself), loot modifiers and XP all keep working.
- 3x smelting. Every smelting and blasting recipe for an ore gets a dense copy that returns three times as much. This includes recipes from other mods and tag ingredients.
- Natural generation. About 4.9% of generated ores become dense, in every dimension and biome, including ones added by other mods.
- Retro-generation. Existing worlds get dense ores in chunks you haven't visited since the mod was added. Each chunk is only processed once.

Based on Dense Ores by RWTema (CC BY 4.0). This is a from-scratch rewrite for current Minecraft versions, written from the original's behaviour and config rather than its code.
