What's new
================================================================================
-DDSS2 Patcher:
================================================================================
------------------------
-> Client Performance -> JourneyMap:
------------------------
-Added a compatibility patch that applies performance-friendly default settings for new JourneyMap installations.
-Reduced several default rendering and mapping quality settings to lower client-side rendering overhead.
-Existing JourneyMap configurations are not modified.
-Players can freely change any JourneyMap setting afterward; personal preferences are saved normally.
-No JourneyMap features have been removed or disabled—only the initial defaults have been optimized for smoother gameplay in large modpacks.
------------------------
-> Masterful Machinery:
------------------------
Masterful Machinery machine ports and controllers previously sent full tile update data to all connected players every tick,
even if those players were far away, in another dimension, or not tracking the machine chunk.
The DDSS2 Patcher now replaces this behavior with a more efficient sync system:
-machine data is synced every 8 ticks instead of every tick
-updates are sent only to players tracking the relevant chunk
-unnecessary all-player packet broadcasts are prevented
This greatly reduces packet spam, NBT allocation pressure, network-check overhead, and background server load in larger machine setups.
Important:
This only affects client-side visual synchronization such as GUIs, displayed contents, status updates, and progress visibility.
Server-side machine logic, recipes, energy handling, fluid handling, item processing, and production are unchanged.
------------------------
-> Wesley’s Roguelike Dungeons:
------------------------
WRD’s generated world tick logic was syncing its global dungeon/world variables far too often, causing repeated full NBT data packets to be broadcast to players.
The DDSS2 Patcher now optimizes this behavior:
- WRD’s global world tick logic is restricted so it does not run redundantly once per loaded dimension.
- WRD global variable sync packets are now coalesced/throttled instead of being sent constantly.
- This reduces packet spam, NBT allocation pressure, NetGuard/network-check overhead, and background server load.
Important:
This does not disable WRD dungeons or dungeon logic. It only reduces unnecessary client synchronization traffic.
------------------------
-> Blood Magic:
------------------------
-Fixed a crash caused by Redstone Comparators reading certain Blood Altar states.
-Added additional validation for the Blood Orb, binding and associated Soul Network.
-Prevented invalid or stale Soul Network data from causing a NullPointerException.
-Added protection against invalid Blood Orb capacities and division-by-zero errors.
-Comparator output is now safely clamped to the valid redstone range of 0–15.
-The patch only affects Blood Magic’s Soul Network comparator mode; all other Blood Altar redstone modes remain unchanged.
------------------------
-> Taiga:
------------------------
-Completely disabled TAIGA meteorites in The Undergarden.
-Reduced meteorite frequency in other dimensions by 80%.
-Lowered unnecessary world-generation work caused by large meteorite formations.
-Improved chunk-generation performance while exploring new terrain.
-Existing chunks and already generated meteorites are unaffected.
------------------------
-> Serene Seasons:
------------------------
-Reduced unnecessary crop-related calculations in dimensions where seasons are disabled.
-Seasonal crop mechanics still work normally in enabled dimensions.
-Improves server performance in dimensions such as the Undergarden without changing normal crop or bonemeal behavior.
