Readable player locator bar for Minecraft — Fabric and NeoForge
CrowBar extends the vanilla locator bar with readable player name tags, skin markers, distance text, team-colored dots, and a self-view capture mode. It is a client-side mod — servers do not need to install anything.
Key Features
Player Name Tags Render readable player names above locator bar markers.
Skin Faces Replace locator dots with player skin faces for quick identification.
Distance Text Show optional distance text next to player names.
Team Colors Preserve team colors when a team color is available.
Self-View Mode Toggle a clean self-view mode for locator bar screenshots. Hides hearts, hunger, armor, and the vanilla locator bar while active.
Claim Waypoints When GPExpansion is installed on the server, claim waypoints display the claim name and a bowtie marker on the locator bar to the claim owner and trusted players.
Mod Menu Integration Includes Mod Menu support for toggling features in-game (Fabric only). NeoForge uses the settings screen extension point.

Supported Platforms
CrowBar is available for both Fabric and NeoForge across three Minecraft lines:
Fabric
- Minecraft 1.21.6 – 1.21.8 — Java 21, Fabric Loader 0.18.4+, Fabric API 0.125.0+
- Minecraft 1.21.9 – 1.21.11 — Java 21, Fabric Loader 0.18.4+, Fabric API 0.141.4+
- Minecraft 26.1.x — Java 25, Fabric Loader 0.19.2+, Fabric API 0.150.0+
- Minecraft 26.2 — Java 25, Fabric Loader 0.19.3+, Fabric API 0.152.2+
NeoForge
- Minecraft 1.21.6 – 1.21.8 — Java 21, NeoForge 21.6+
- Minecraft 1.21.9 – 1.21.10 — Java 21, NeoForge 21.9+
- Minecraft 1.21.11 — Java 21, NeoForge 21.11+
- Minecraft 26.1.x — Java 25, NeoForge 26.1+
- Minecraft 26.2 — Java 25, NeoForge 26.2+
Use the jar that matches your Minecraft version and loader. NeoForge builds are split per Minecraft line because Mojang's class renames change the API surface between minor versions.

Allium Essentials
Allium Essentials is an optional Paper server plugin that can send CrowBar a dedicated locator payload. When Allium is installed, CrowBar does not have to rely on vanilla locator waypoints: the server can send the player UUID, position, team color, and visibility state needed for the custom locator bar.
That lets CrowBar keep rendering players who are hidden, sneaking, invisible, or otherwise missing from vanilla waypoint data. Without Allium, CrowBar falls back to normal client-visible players, including LAN and integrated-server sessions.
