Creative Touch is a treasure enchantment for mining tools. With it on, blocks break the instant you point at them, with the same short gap between blocks you get sweeping along in Creative - no charge-up, no cracking animation, whatever the block's hardness. It runs the actual Creative digging path rather than approximating it.
It's still survival, though. Blocks drop their loot and the tool takes durability, so it's closer to the mining equivalent of Silk Touch than to a Creative cheat.
What it does
- Instant breaks - blocks pop the moment your cursor lands on them, whatever the hardness or tool tier.
- Creative cadence - hold to sweep and blocks break one every few ticks, the same rhythm Creative uses.
- Still survival - loot drops normally, Silk Touch, Fortune and correct-tool rules all still apply, and the tool wears down.
How it behaves
- Max level I. Goes on any pickaxe, shovel, axe or hoe - anything in
#minecraft:enchantable/mining. - It's a treasure enchantment, so it comes off enchanted books from villager trades and loot rather than the enchanting table. Anvil the book onto your tool.
- Because it copies Creative digging faithfully, it can also remove blocks that are otherwise unbreakable. Worth knowing before handing it out on a server.
- Vanilla's reach and block-protection checks are left alone.
Compatibility
It changes how blocks break on the server, so install it on both the client and the server. Singleplayer works as-is. It renders nothing, so Sodium, Iris and shaderpacks don't care either way, and it sits alongside other enchantments without trouble.
NeoForge 1.21.1, JDK 21. Install on both client and server. MIT licensed. Free to use in modpacks.
