Create: Husbandry

Animal products as industrial feedstock. Keep livestock well fed and comfortable, and turn hide, milk, wool and muck into the materials your factory actually runs on.

Every machine here is kinetic, works on the animals standing around it, and slows down if you crowd them. There is no "livestock block" that spits out items, instead you build a barn, and the barn is the machine.

Leather Production

Create's Mechanical Belt is made from dried kelp. If your base is nowhere near water, that is a long trip for a basic component.

Cows and sheep now drop Raw Hide. A Tannery Rack turns hide and water into Tanned Leather, six of which craft a belt. It is the first thing you will build, and the reason the rest of the mod exists.

Comfort

Every machine's output rate is scaled by how good a life the animals are having. Comfort is measured from open space, bedding and cleanliness per animal so overcrowding a pen makes it produce less, not more.

That single rule is what stops the mod being a stack of item generators. Building a bigger, better barn is the upgrade path.

Automation

Dairy - the Milking Stall draws milk from cows in range; the Churn turns it into Butter and Tallow; Cheese Wheels are compacted from milk and cut like a cake.

Wool - the Shearing Station shears sheep into Raw Fleece, fan-washing gives Washed Fleece and a chance of tallow off the grease, and the Spinning Wheel spins it into Yarn. Yarn branches: back into wool, or into String, which is a string supply for a base with no ocean and no spiders.

Muck - cows, horses, donkeys and mules leave Manure. Collect it by hand with a Pooper Scooper, or automate it with a Muck Collector on a contraption. Manure presses into Fertiliser, mixes into Slurry, and Slurry feeds a Sprinkler that waters a field of up to 6x6 from a shaft and a pipe. Leave muck lying and pen comfort suffers.

Breeding and culling - the Breeding Pen pairs animals up to a herd cap you set. The Butchering Table processes them, wearing out an axe as it goes.

Moving a herd - the Baiting Post calls animals in using whatever bait you load, and the Livestock Crate carries one animal as an item, keeping its name, health, age and tag. Put a funnel on a crate and the pair becomes a catching line.

Growing - the Soil Planter speeds up whatever is planted on it, Fertile Soil is found in the world and ripens over three nights, and the Redstone Replanter harvests and replants the crop it faces on a pulse.

Roosts - house a chicken, add bedding and cushions to shorten the wait between eggs.

16 Colours

Ear Tags clip onto an animal and mark it. Set a Breeding Pen to a colour and only animals wearing that tag will breed, so one pen can hold a mixed herd and you still control exactly what multiplies. Tags render on cows, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas and rabbits.

Tinted Feed decides what colour a sheep's fleece grows back. A trough of it beside a Shearing Station is a coloured wool line, producing pieces of fleaces easily!

Cushions sit on the floor, or slot into a Roost.

All three are one item carrying a dye, so vanilla dyeing, cauldron washing and Create: Dragons Plus bulk colouring all work on them.

Factory Feeling

Most machines also can be used alongside pipes and funnels, adding to the automation and factory feel.

Machines are wrenchable, take stress like any Create block, and report themselves through goggles. There are 26 Ponder scenes.

Manure also loads into a Potato Cannon, if you were wondering.

Requirements

Optional: Create: Enchantment Industry (Liquid Experience mending on the Butchering Table) and Create: Dragons Plus (bulk colouring for the dyeable items). Neither is required.
