Create Dual Gauge Track Simurail Compat
Create Dual Gauge Track Simurail Compat lets Create Simurail's physics trains run on Create Dual Gauge Track's dual and triple gauge track.
Install it alongside both mods. It changes neither of them, and you only need it if you play with both.
Features
- Shift-click physics placement works on dual and triple gauge track, just as on plain track
- Narrow physics bogies on dual track ride the shared outer rail and the middle rail
- On triple track, narrow and standard physics bogies each ride their own pair of rails, and wide bogies ride the outer pair
- Bogies slide with the rails through transitions, crossovers and curves, matching Create trains on the same track
- Bogies ride correctly whichever way round they were placed
- Bogies of a gauge the track doesn't carry stay off it, so a wide bogey won't run on dual track
Requirements
- Minecraft
1.21.1 - NeoForge
21.1.x - Create
6.0.x - Create: Steam 'n' Rails
0.3.0-alpha.2or newer - Create Dual Gauge Track

Every mod in the list is required. This mod adds no blocks or items of its own.
Choosing a Gauge
Simurail places a physics bogey as one default type for each kind of track. Dual and triple track carry more than one gauge, so you can choose which one you get:
- Hold a Simurail physics bogey.
- Look at dual or triple gauge track and hold Ctrl while scrolling. The action bar shows the gauge you've picked, cycling through the gauges that track carries.
- Place the bogey on the track as normal, by right-clicking or shift-right-clicking.
The choice is stored on the item, so it survives restarts and different stacks can be set differently. The item tooltip shows the current choice.
With no choice made, a bogey starts as the track's widest gauge: standard on dual track, wide on triple track. You can still change the bogey type afterwards in Simurail's bogey menu.
How Bogies Ride
Dual and triple track put the narrower gauges off-centre, on their own pair of rails. Simurail holds each axle to the middle of the track, so this mod moves that hold point onto the bogey's own rails. It works out where the rails are in the same way Create Dual Gauge Track does for Create trains:
- On straights, from which side of the track the block puts that gauge's rails
- Through transitions, easing back to the centre where the track meets plain track of that gauge
- Through crossovers, easing from one side to the other
- On curves, from the sides of the straights at each end
Simurail treats an axle more than half a block from the middle of the track as off the track. Some gauges ride further out than that on triple track (narrow sits about 0.95 blocks out), so for those bogeys the check is measured from their own rails instead.
Known Limitations
- Create Simurail is experimental and changes often. If a Simurail update moves the parts this mod hooks into, the game stops at startup with an error naming this mod, rather than letting trains misbehave. Check for an updated version of this mod
- Only the point where Simurail holds the axle is moved onto the bogey's rails. Track forces such as traction and braking are still applied at the middle of the track, which makes no visible difference in normal running
