What's new

1.3.2-mc26.2-4

Includes everything from 1.3.2-mc26.2-3, which was never published here — if you are coming from -2, this is both releases in one.

Posted with the permission of hlysine, the original author. This is still not his release — please report issues on the port's tracker, not on the original mod's.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader
  • Create Fly 6.0.9-1 (26.2-rc-2-6.0.9-1)
  • Java 25

Fixed

Hovering a Kinetic Battery crashed the game

NullPointerException: Cannot invoke "String.isEmpty()" because "data" is null, from DeployerBlockEntity.write. Anything that drew that item's tooltip triggered it — creative inventory, JEI, a chest — and it took the client down every time. If you are on -2, this alone is worth updating for.

Ponder does not only read its scene structures: hovering an item compiles every scene tagged for it, and that serialises every block entity in the scene back out through Create Fly's current code. One structure carried a deployer with an owner UUID left over from the original author's dev world, and the field that gets written beside it did not exist back then, so it went out as null.

Jade showed no contents for this mod's storage blocks

The Fluid Vessel showed its name and nothing else — no fluid bar, no bucket count — even though Create's own pipes filled it normally. The Item Silo, Inventory Bridge and Inventory Access Port had the same gap.

Declaring an inventory the way Create Fly does makes it visible to Create. It does not make it visible to anything else: Jade and other Fabric mods read a separate API that has to be told about each block entity type on its own. All five block entity types are registered with it now, so Jade reads them like any vanilla container.

Ponder scenes played with missing details

142 pieces of block entity data in the ponder structures were still in pre-26.2 formats and silently failed to load — a deployer not holding its item, machines not showing where their rotation came from, and a stream of Serialization errors: lines in the log. All of them were converted, each one checked against the same block entity in Create Fly's own ponder structures.

Worth knowing

Serialization errors: in your log is not necessarily this mod. Create Fly ships some of the same format drift in its own ponder structures, so its scenes produce those lines too.

Three pieces of data had no reference anywhere to convert them against and were deliberately left as-is rather than guessed at. None of them logs an error or affects gameplay.

Thanks

To the player who sent in the full log, the crash report and screenshots from a live world. The Jade gap in particular is invisible from inside the game, because the blocks behave correctly in every other way.
