Description
🔥 Burning fuel
- Gasoline, ethanol, diesel, biodiesel, crude oil and plant oil burn when spilled in the world. Fire spreads across fuel pools and slowly consumes them.
- Gasoline and ethanol burn the fiercest, plant oil barely burns.
- Pools are lit by fire on the shore, lava, lit campfires, burning mobs and fire creatures (blazes, magma cubes, fire devils).
- Use flint and steel, a fire charge or the CDG lighter directly on the surface of a pool.
🌡️ Heat & exploding tanks
- Tanks, pipes and pumps heat up slowly next to fire, lava, campfires, magma blocks or a fired-up Blaze Burner – and cool down again to the temperature of the biome. Rain cools them, neighbouring tanks and pipes share their heat.
- The more liquid a container holds, the slower it heats up: a full tank block next to two fires needs about 40 seconds, a big multiblock tank much longer.
- At 250 °C a container holding fuel explodes. From 60 % of that it hisses, sparks and smokes as a warning – cool it, empty it or run.
- The blast grows with every bucket: one bucket of diesel has explosion power 2.5, a full tank block (8 buckets) 5, a 2×2×2 tank (64 buckets) 10 and huge tanks up to 24 – TNT has 4. Gasoline is more explosive than diesel.
- Chain reactions: an explosion sets off the fuel tanks and pipes inside it, so a fire runs along a pipeline like a fuse. TNT and creepers can start one too.
- Fuel explosions have their own death message.
🌡️ Temperature Sensor
- Place it against a tank, pipe or pump: it measures the hottest container next to it.
- Put a Create Threshold Switch against the sensor to read and switch on the temperature in °C.
- Comparator output, a dial with a needle and a status lamp (green → red), and the exact value in the Engineer's Goggles.
💧 Water Sprinkler
- Sprays water while it gets a redstone signal – for example from the Threshold Switch on a temperature sensor.
- Puts out fire, extinguishes burning mobs and players and cools tanks and pipes in its spray.
- Hang it from a ceiling to spray down or put it on the floor to spray up. Water comes in through Create pipes.
💨 CO2 exhaust
- Running Modular and Huge Diesel Engines produce carbon dioxide for every bit of fuel they burn.
- Every engine keeps its exhaust in a buffer shown in the Engineer's Goggles like a fluid in mB. When it is full and nothing takes the gas, the engine smokes.
- The Exhaust Collector next to an engine stores the CO2. Its window shows the fill level, the goggles show the contents. Pump it out with Create pipes, fill buckets, read it with a comparator.
🏭 Chimneys & exhaust pipes
- Brick Chimney and Exhaust Pipe release the CO2 as a thick column of smoke – the more gas, the more smoke.
- Stack them as high as you like. Stacked blocks connect into one smokestack: flanges and couplings on the exhaust pipe, a sooty crown on top of the brick chimney.
- Feed them by placing them next to an engine, on top of an Exhaust Collector or through pipes. A covered chimney stops venting.
- The CO2 bucket smothers fires around you – and works in a dispenser for automatic fire suppression.

🤝 Compatibility
Burnt + Additions
- Fires stay lit on fuel pools instead of being replaced.
- Burnt's flames, soul fire, devil flames and flaming tar ignite fuel and heat up tanks; liquid magma counts as lava.
- Tar in tanks and pipes is (weakly) explosive.
- Sprinklers and CO2 buckets put out Burnt's flames as well.
- Tanks destroyed by Burnt's fire still explode with their contents.
Explosion Overhaul
- Fuel explosions get its craters, sounds, camera shake and shattering glass.
- Small blasts are raised just enough for Explosion Overhaul to take them over, and chain reactions keep working with its delayed craters.

🛠️ Recipes
| Block | Recipe |
|---|---|
| Exhaust Collector | 3 iron bars on top, below: fluid pipe – copper casing – fluid pipe |
| Brick Chimney (×4) | 6 bricks around a fluid pipe |
| Exhaust Pipe (×2) | iron sheet / fluid pipe / iron sheet (stacked) |
| Temperature Sensor | shapeless: copper casing + comparator + glass pane |
| Water Sprinkler (×2) | fluid pipe / redstone / copper sheet (stacked) |
With JEI installed you can look all of them up in game.
⚙️ Configuration
Almost everything can be tuned in `config/burning_fuel_create_diesel_generators_addon-common.toml`: which fluids burn and how explosive they are, the critical temperature, heating and cooling speed, explosion strength and limit, chain reactions, block damage, sprinkler range and water use, CO2 amount, chimney smoke amount and more.
📦 Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.x
- Create 6.0.x
- Create: Diesel Generators 1.20.1-1.3.x
- Optional: Burnt + Additions, Explosion Overhaul
Needed on both client and server.

Tip: a safe fuel depot has a temperature sensor on every tank, a Threshold Switch set to around 150 °C and a sprinkler above it. A gasoline depot without one makes a very impressive crater.
