What's new
2.0.2 — fix an over-zoom regression in large modpacks
FIXED
- In large modpacks, using the Artillery Indicator could zoom far too much (about 23x instead of the intended 2.0x), with a hard single-frame jump at both the start and the end of the zoom. Cause: vanilla's AbstractClientPlayer#getFieldOfViewModifier() returns 0.1F early while "first person + isScoping()". Modpacks that ship a mod which makes isScoping() true for any spyglass-style item therefore fed a 0.1 multiplier into our zoom base in 2.0.1. We now cache the last clean modifier (only updated when the returned value is greater than 0.11) and use that while scoping, so the zoom matches the design value and the single-frame jumps are gone.
- Both fixes from 2.0.1 are unchanged: the world FOV no longer pops on release while flying, and the held item no longer pops in scale on release.
NOTES
- No gameplay, block, item, recipe or balance changes.
- If you are on 2.0.1 and your pack contains a mod that broadens isScoping(), update to 2.0.2.
