Yeah, I posted the same thing a few days before you did on his Discord. The mod is compatible, it's just that it specifically asks for 1.17.X in fabric.mod.json.
Could you make it an option where instead of one button for singleplayer and multiplayer, two buttons one for singleplayer and one for multiplayer? Awesome Mod!
Hey guys. I made a small tweak to make it work with 1.18.x (according to its MIT license):

No issues as of my experience. If any, please head to Issues link of original mod.
Be sure to thank its owner!

1.17.1?
Hey bro, this is a great mod but pls give us a forge version
In reply to bluedragon599:
don't use forge for latest versions. Its way less optimised and stable then fabric.
The 1.17 version crashes the client when trying to load the game in 1.17.
In reply to EpicCOAwesomeKid:
It is normal, it is for the 20w49a and it is not compatible with the 1.17
In reply to EpicCOAwesomeKid:
Version 1.0.4 just released. For Minecraft 1.17.
Any chance to see this for Forge?
Does using the continue button go to that last played multiplayer server too? If it’s not, consider this a feature request.
It does.
