Combineable Fireworks

Ever had a stack of weak little flight duration 1 fireworks sitting around and wished you could turn them into something bigger without going back to a crafting table with fresh gunpowder? This mod fixes that.

What it does

Combineable Fireworks lets you merge and split firework rockets right in the crafting grid based on their flight duration, no extra items, no gunpowder needed, just the rockets you already have.

2x Flight Duration 1 rockets in the grid combine into 1x Flight Duration 2 rocket
3x Flight Duration 1 rockets combine into 1x Flight Duration 3 rocket
Works with any arrangement in the grid, doesn't matter which slots they're in

And it goes both ways:

A single Flight Duration 2 rocket splits back into 2x Flight Duration 1
A single Flight Duration 3 rocket splits back into 3x Flight Duration 1
Your effects are safe

This is the part I actually care about. Combining fireworks doesn't wipe your custom star effects. When you merge two decorated rockets, the resulting rocket keeps every single explosion effect from both of them, colors, shapes, trails, twinkles, all of it. Nothing gets thrown away.

Splitting works the same way in reverse, each rocket you get back carries the full set of effects that went into the original. So you can freely reorganize your firework stockpile by duration without ever losing the fancy effects you spent time crafting.

JEI support

If you've got JEI installed, both recipes show up right in the crafting category so you don't have to memorize the ratios. No extra setup needed.

Why this exists

Firework crafting in vanilla is kind of rigid, you commit to a duration the moment you craft, and if you end up with a pile of the wrong tier there's no way back except wasting more gunpowder. This mod just adds a bit of flexibility so your fireworks inventory doesn't turn into clutter.
