What's new
Cobblemon Operators 1.0.10
Cumulative changes since the published 1.0.4 baseline, covering updates 1.0.5 through 1.0.10. Features already present in 1.0.4 are not listed as new. Minecraft 1.21.1 · Fabric · Java 21. Update both client and server.
Nursery and Daycare+ integration
- Reworked the Operator Nursery into a daycare-support controller with a separate, filtered nine-slot inventory for native Twin and Shiny boosters.
- One Nursery can protect both same-owner daycares in range while the player explicitly chooses the single daycare that receives reserve boosters.
- Added daycare cards showing parents, compatibility, existing charges, selection and protection or persistence warnings, with independent Twin/Shiny switches.
- The selected daycare is remembered across restarts. An unavailable target does not silently switch to the other daycare. Competing Nurseries cannot simultaneously take control of the same target.
- Added durable receipts and recovery checks for booster deposits, withdrawals, applications and protected native breeding operations. Ambiguous operations are held for inspection rather than replayed or refunded speculatively.
- Improved handling of owner disconnects, chunk reloads and original parent-storage references. Legitimate recall, PC/team movement, parent replacement and pasture removal are respected; original Pokémon are not recreated from their species or client appearance.
- Player login remains possible when Nursery-specific data requires inspection; affected Nursery operations can remain paused.
- Protected zero- or one-parent daycares no longer consume Twin charges before a valid pair exists.
- Unused reserve boosters drop when the Nursery is safely broken. Already-applied charges are not refunded as unused items.
- No automatic egg collection or hopper-based egg extraction has been added. Daycare+ remains optional; its integration is validated against 1.3.3+1.21.1.
Eggant Berries and Poké Snacks
- With the Daycare+ support integration, default rare production is one Eggant Berry per 144,000 effective active ticks: two hours at 20 TPS.
- Production is capped at two per owner over a rolling 24-hour window, shared between their Nurseries. Replacing a Nursery does not reset the owner's budget, and inactive time does not create catch-up berries.
- Added Mimetic Bait seasoning for Poké Snacks: a default ×1.5 selection-weight multiplier for locally eligible Ditto.
- The effect does not stack with additional Eggant seasonings and does not bypass local spawn eligibility. It is not a guaranteed Ditto spawn and gives no shiny, IV or Ability bonus.
- Integrated seasoning processing with both native Cobblemon cooking and the Operator Cooking Pot, preserving output components and container remainders.
One Crafter, three modes
- The same 1×1×1 Operator Crafter can switch between Crafter, Alembic and Cooking Pot. Alternate machine forms are not separate block items or machine recipes.
- Added three craftable mode modules. Right-click an authorized Crafter with a module to switch; one module is consumed in survival, none in creative or when selecting the current mode. The previous module is not refunded.
- Module recipe:
IQI / RSR / IQI, with iron blocks (I), quartz (Q), redstone (R) and a crafting table, brewing stand or cauldron (S) for the chosen mode. - Switching preserves the owner, assigned Pokémon, upgrades, output buffer and work cooldown. Each mode retains its recipe template; obsolete menus and deferred actions are invalidated.
- The original Crafter pattern/target configuration, recipe processing and adjacent-input behavior are retained.
- Alembic: three ghost potion inputs, one ghost ingredient and native result previews. Performs one Minecraft or Cobblemon brewing step per cycle, using one ingredient for up to three configured bottles. No Blaze powder is required.
- Cooking Pot: a 3×3 ghost recipe, three seasonings, result preview, paginated recipe book and explicit validation. Supports Cobblemon shaped/shapeless cooking, including medicines, mochis and Poké Snacks. Production continues after the interface closes; no external fire is required.
- Configuration models do not consume the player's items. Missing ingredients, invalid recipes or insufficient output capacity cause no ingredient consumption.
- Improved Cooking Pot layout at different GUI scales so the inventory, model slots, recipe book and validation controls do not overlap.
Pokémon movement, display and healing
- Improved shared terrestrial route planning, safe work positions, obstacle detours, fractional-height support, half-steps and return paths across applicable mobile Operators.
- Fixed safe-path failures involving large Pokémon, off-center arrivals and dry standing space above the actual water surface. Walking Pokémon are not granted flight or swimming abilities.
- Fisher now looks for reachable open-water surfaces rather than submerged targets, retries other candidates when a destination fails, and revalidates water and output capacity before producing loot.
- Improved destination changes and deferred-action revalidation when a target disappears or an output becomes unavailable during travel.
- Fixed work-origin changes when switching between nearby Furnace stations.
- Healer now continues searching beyond a healthy pasture and updates the original Pokémon's health, so actual healing persists after recall and reconnect.
- Fixed stale normal-PC/team swap displays while preserving the compact, compatible-Pokémon selection when opening the PC through an Operator.
- Guard target handling includes eligible wild Pokémon and other players under native PvP, friendly-fire and claim checks; the owner, captured or tethered Pokémon and busy battle targets are excluded. Real second-player PvP remains an outstanding in-game check.
- Expanded player-facing status messages for sleeping operators, progressive searches, blocked targets, full outputs and held recovery operations.
Survival recovery and crafting balance
- All sixteen Operator machines can return their block item when broken in authorized survival play, including with bare hands or an unsuitable tool. Preferred-tool tags improve breaking speed without imposing a drop tier.
- Auxiliary footprint cells do not duplicate the master item. Creative breaking, claims and
doTileDropsretain their applicable rules; recovery safeguards may refuse an unsafe removal. - Core: piston → sticky piston.
- Lumberjack: two iron ingots → two iron blocks.
- Scarecrow: dirt → mycelium.
- Crusher: seven stone blocks → two iron blocks, two gold blocks, one emerald block and two coal blocks; the pickaxe and Core remain.
- Miner: seven deepslate blocks → four diamond blocks, two redstone blocks and one netherite block; the pickaxe and Core remain.
- Healer: two apples → two Cobblemon Max Revives.
- Researcher: two lapis lazuli → two experience bottles.
- Botanist: bone meal and two iron hoes → one bone block, one diamond hoe and one mycelium block; leaves and the composter remain.
- Operator Beehives require one glass bottle from a permitted adjacent chest per honey bottle. No accessible bottles or no output capacity means no bottle consumption or honey production. Barrels, hoppers, backpacks, diagonal chests and Ender Chests do not supply bottles.
Compatibility and upgrading from 1.0.4
- Update both client and server. No additional mandatory library is introduced by the new Crafter modes or optional Daycare+ integration.
- Existing 1.0.4 global/per-machine placement limits, LuckPerms ceilings, administrative removal and OpenPAC v2 compatibility are retained. These are existing features, not additions in this changelog period.
- Fabric Loader 0.18.1+ remains the minimum. It was already supported before this update period; the Loader change is not a new 1.0.10 feature.
- Existing owner assignments, inventories and upgrades are preserved by the supported migration paths. Keep a consistent backup before upgrading; do not treat a binary downgrade as a data rollback.
Beta and upgrade notice
Back up the complete world, player/PC storage, configuration and previous JAR before upgrading. A binary downgrade is not a data rollback.
The validation campaign includes automated regression tests, forty earlier native GameTests and forty-nine selected native crash scenarios, plus scoped interactive tests on the test modpack. These are versioned, scenario-specific results, not a guarantee against every crash, hardware failure, Pokémon size or terrain combination.
Some visual terrain/body-size cases, Nursery obstacle coverage and real Guard PvP remain unverified. Official upstream Cobblemon compatibility is not yet certified: the build and gameplay validation use the local Abes-Hutts 1.7.3 fork. See the installation and validation notes before deployment.
