Description

Cobblemon Operators

Cobblemon Operators is a Fabric addon for Minecraft 1.21.1 that turns your Pokémon into dedicated automation partners. Assign compatible Pokémon from your Cobblemon PC to 16 specialized Operator machines that gather resources, craft items, manage storage, harvest crops, and support your Pokémon.

Features

  • PC-based assignment: choose compatible Pokémon through a filtered Cobblemon PC interface.
  • Visible workers: client-side Pokémon representations perform supported work animations and movements. Beehive occupants are not displayed individually.
  • Clear machine information: look at an Operator to see its assigned Pokémon, accepted types, range, inventory usage, upgrades, and current working or stopped state.
  • Item automation: extract machine buffers with hoppers and connect compatible adjacent inventories through Fabric’s storage API.
  • Upgradeable machines: expand buffer capacity, extend supported working ranges, or add accepted Pokémon types.
  • Internal Core energy: boost compatible nearby machines without requiring an external FE/RF power network.
  • Persistent assignments: recalling a Pokémon or breaking its machine returns it through the owner’s party or PC, with a persistent recovery queue when delivery cannot complete.
  • English and French support: translated interfaces, tooltips, status messages, and an in-game Operator Guide.

Operator Blocks

Block Function
Operator Core Generates and stores internal energy to speed up compatible nearby Operators owned by the same player. Its assigned Pokémon’s power influences the boost.
Operator Beehive Houses Combee and Vespiquen and produces honey bottles based on their combined power. Starts with two Pokémon slots by default and supports capacity upgrades.
Operator Lumberjack Workbench Finds connected trees, progressively cuts logs and nearby leaves, collects their drops, and replants a suitable sapling when possible.
Operator Furnace Accelerates valid recipes in adjacent furnaces, smokers, and blast furnaces. Transfers real blaze powder from adjacent storage into brewing stands, without accelerating brewing itself. Also supports limited direct smelting.
Operator Vacuum Unit Collects dropped items and retrieves resources from nearby same-owner Operator buffers, routing them into adjacent inventories or its own buffer.
Operator Scarecrow — Farm Harvests mature supported crops, berries, Cobblemon apricorns, and compatible modded plants within its working area.
Operator Crushing Workbench — Crusher Passively generates configurable surface-mining loot without consuming ores or breaking terrain. Default resources include coal, raw copper, raw iron, and emeralds.
Operator Mining Workbench — Mine Passively generates configurable deep-mining loot without breaking terrain. Default resources include redstone, lapis lazuli, raw gold, and diamonds.
Operator Nursery Produces Eggant Berries when a nearby pasture contains at least two Pokémon belonging to its owner. It supports breeding gameplay but does not directly create eggs or breed Pokémon.
Operator Crafter Uses a programmable 3×3 crafting pattern and target output to craft compatible vanilla or modded recipes from adjacent inventories. Results and recipe remainders go into its internal buffer.
Operator Researcher Consumes supported research materials from adjacent inventories and produces experience bottles in its internal buffer.
Operator Sorter Transfers items from its own buffer and nearby same-owner Operator buffers into compatible adjacent inventories.
Operator Healer Consumes care items from its dedicated internal inventory to heal injured Pokémon belonging to its owner and tethered to a nearby pasture.
Operator Fisher Generates configurable fishing loot when suitable water is within range.
Operator Guard Attacks hostile mobs within its working area and collects drops from defeated targets. It does not target players or Pokémon.
Operator Botanist Prioritizes harvesting mature supported plants, then uses bone meal for growth. Includes a dedicated nine-slot bone-meal inventory and can also use adjacent supplies.

Storage and Upgrades

Storage is a standalone 2×2×2 multiblock chest with 54 slots, supporting hopper input/output and compatible Fabric automation. Its placed appearance now matches its redesigned item model.

The mod includes 11 detailed 128×128 Operator upgrade cartridges:

  • Slot: expands machine buffers and also increases Beehive occupant capacity.
  • Range: extends the range of supported machines.
  • Type: adds an accepted Pokémon type where supported.

Upgrade limits and compatibility depend on the machine and server settings.

Visual Design

The Operator Collection introduces detailed models with distinct silhouettes and a consistent material style.

Highlights include a compact 2×2×2 Nursery with animated internal details, a full-body mechanical predator Guard, redesigned workstations, and matching Storage block and item visuals.

Mine and Crusher use larger protected 9×3×9 structures, so leave sufficient space before placing them.

Configuration and Administration

Server configuration:

config/cobblemon_operators.json

Configure machine availability, recipe availability, ranges, cooldowns, buffers, accepted Pokémon types, upgrade limits, loot tables, power bonuses, and scheduling budgets.

Administrators can pause or resume all Operators across dimensions:

/operators machines disable
/operators machines enable
/operators machines status

The pause persists across restarts while inventories and Pokémon returns remain accessible.

Installation and Beta Status

Install the same mod version on the server and all clients.

The current build targets Minecraft 1.21.1, Java 21+, Fabric Loader 0.18.4, Fabric API 0.116.9+1.21.1, Cobblemon 1.7.3+1.21.1, and GeckoLib 4.7.6.

Beta: modpack-specific validation is ongoing. Back up your world and player data, and test updates on a copy before upgrading an existing server.
