What's new
## 0.18.3-beta — FielDex
- Fixed field Attack requesting nonexistent species `battle_idle` Bedrock clips; combat stance now uses Cobblemon's safe named-animation alternatives and falls back to `idle` without a render-thread exception.
- Reduced unchanged Attack/Guard HUD traffic from one stamina-status payload per tick to two updates per second while keeping combat state changes immediate.
- Added optional Improved Mobs 1.16 compatibility: owned Pokémon are excluded from its entity-load enhancement pass so they cannot receive flying/water riding goals or summoned mounts; wild Pokémon and normal mobs remain eligible.
- Disabled Fight or Flight's melee, ranged, target-fighting, avoidance and retreat decisions for owned Pokémon so CFS Attack/Guard remains authoritative; wild Pokémon retain Fight or Flight behavior.
- Extracted standalone elemental-slot eligibility, dual-type efficiency and stamina policy into focused rules, preserving Fairy Harvest and Poison/Fairy Cleanse behavior while reducing orchestration duplication.
- Consolidated five duplicated Water/Grass/Flying/Rock/Fairy command-provider resolvers in `SurvivalActionBridge` behind one ownership, dimension, range, fainted-state and nearest-provider gate while preserving each capability predicate.
- Fixed Fight or Flight startup compatibility by removing the mixin plugin that loaded `PokemonUtils` before transformation; the optional `@Pseudo` patch now applies without touching the target during mixin selection and remains compatible with Fight or Flight 0.10.9.
- Updated Cobblemon's shift-right-click Survival Tasks entry to use the clicked Pokémon's native portrait and open that Pokémon directly in the shared Field Command Wheel instead of the legacy survival-category wheel.
- Extracted supported Scout requests and level/dimension-gated structure-target selection into focused, regression-tested rules while retaining world searches in the standalone engine.
- Extracted field-combat secondary-effect and impact-particle metadata into focused, regression-tested rules and removed obsolete packaged-species constants superseded by authoritative animation hooks.
- Extracted ranged and melee field-combat animation fallback ordering into focused, regression-tested rules while preserving authored Special/Physical priority and playback behavior.
- Extracted field-combat stream startup, projectile travel and relative sound-cue metadata from the standalone engine into focused, regression-tested timing rules without changing combat cadence or effects.
- Extracted survival-action level/evolution/rarity/shiny power, stamina and cost arithmetic into focused, regression-tested progression rules while retaining live Pokémon classification in the bridge.
- Extracted survival-action stamina bar, percentage and numeric text formatting from the bridge into focused, regression-tested feedback rules without changing player-facing output.
- Continued the safe bridge audit by extracting deterministic Updraft power scaling and launch-direction fallback into focused, regression-tested mobility rules without changing action timing, cost or movement behavior.
- Continued the safe bridge audit by extracting forage crop/seed mapping and vegetation target classification into a focused, regression-tested rule service without changing forage behavior.
- Extracted standalone action immediacy, elemental-type and Mastery-track metadata into a focused, regression-tested progression rule service without changing eligibility, costs or scaling.
- Moved the standalone engine's duplicated multi-argument method resolver into the shared cached action-reflection boundary with regression coverage for compatibility, null arguments and fail-closed lookup.
- Extracted standalone command aliases, supported-action membership and feedback labels into a focused, regression-tested command vocabulary service without changing command behavior.
- Consolidated cooldown tick-to-second rounding across server action payloads and client command previews in the shared cooldown manager.
- Moved the Survival bridge's optional healing-API name/arity method scan into the shared cached reflection boundary without changing healing behavior.
- Extracted bounded localized-healing allocation and body-part label formatting into a provider-neutral, regression-tested healing rule service.
- Fixed Favorite Food tiers to work upward: a lower-tier preference accepts upgraded versions, while a higher-tier preference no longer accepts lower-tier foods.
- Added the interactive FielDex field-stat interface with party navigation, care, skills, actions, team support and bonus pages.
- Added native pixel-art rendering, interactive Pokémon models, contextual tooltips, UI audio, a close control and a configurable `.` keybind.
- Added synchronized one-second opening and closing transitions.
- Rebuilt the `V` radial as the Field Command Wheel: its root now preserves all six party positions, offers a General Command branch, and opens per-Pokémon Combat, Movement, Pokémon Actions, Care and Synergy pages.
- Added deterministic back-stack navigation, fixed Back/Close and Next Page positions, generic six-entry pagination, provider selection and team-level Active Skills aggregation.
- Connected FielDex and the Field Command Wheel to shared action presentation metadata while preserving the existing server commands, runtime eligibility and `G` ping targeting paths.
- Added multiline action and provider tooltips, disabled-state feedback, and the supplied Combat, Pokémon Actions and Come command icons.
- Replaced the legacy fixed portrait set with the alpha-trimmed native Pokémon sprite library and a shared, cached, aspect-preserving nearest-neighbor renderer used by both FielDex and the Field Command Wheel.
- Corrected radial portrait placement against Cobblemon's half-scale icon coordinate system so party sprites render visibly, centered and without stretching.
- Kept Ghost Shift in Movement and classified Nightmare and Web Wall under Combat without changing their gameplay implementations.
- Continued the safe action-engine refactor by extracting fishing, harvesting and Stamina Recovery controllers, job state and runtime services from `StandaloneActionEngine`.
- Added regression coverage for command layouts, navigation, pagination, shared action metadata, provider aggregation, native sprite resolution and fitting, and the extracted action runtimes.
- Corrected General Command provider resolution so exhausted Pokémon remain visible to care commands while combat/work pages retain only providers that pass the action's live availability gate and exhausted partners do not satisfy synergies.
- Cleared Field Command session and portrait-overlay state when the wheel is dismissed through Escape or Cobblemon's normal close behavior, preventing stale party portraits from leaking into later wheels.
- Reduced Field Command Wheel party portraits by 25%, from 48×48 to 36×36 logical pixels, while preserving crisp aspect-fit rendering and wedge centering.
- Aligned the shared action catalog with runtime eligibility: Fairy Pokémon now expose Harvest, no longer appear as invalid Berry Bloom participants, and Ice Pokémon no longer receive a duplicate Preserve Food entry for the same Freeze action.
- Removed duplicated action names and descriptions from the eligibility catalog so FielDex and the Field Command Wheel use the command descriptor catalog as their single presentation source.
- Corrected Storm Call participation previews so Water Pokémon can see the synergy and all three elemental roles must be supplied by three distinct Pokémon, matching server execution.
- Made Storm Call preview assignment dual-type aware and corrected Earth Refuge cooldown previews to accept either Ground or Rock participants.
- Corrected General Sleep to issue the existing validated Rest command to every currently fielded Pokémon instead of resting only one provider.
- Connected Field Command availability and multiline tooltips to the existing synchronized cooldown caches for Cleanse, Repair, Web Wall and supported team synergies.
- Retained Water Breathing and Teleport cooldown payloads on the client so both actions now show authoritative disabled timers in the Field Command Wheel.
- Synchronized Buff, Debuff and player-scoped Shift cooldowns with the Field Command Wheel so successful casts disable their entries and show the authoritative remaining time instead of relying on server rejection.
- Extended server-confirmed Field Command cooldown feedback to the player-scoped Water Spray, Updraft, Mend Wounds and Pokémon Heal actions, keeping every eligible provider consistently disabled until the shared cooldown expires.
- Kept cooldown-blocked actions visible in General Command pages with disabled-state timers while restricting execution and provider selection to Pokémon that are currently ready.
- Connected the server's existing Improvised Bed participant cooldown payloads to both command-wheel paths and corrected the legacy synergy button to require two distinct Bug/Grass participants, including for dual-type Pokémon.
- Replaced the legacy construction wheel's parallel synergy type checks with the shared authoritative action catalog, preventing one dual-type Pokémon from falsely filling multiple roles for Campfire, Storm Call, Heat Wave, Earth Refuge, Improvised Bed or Berry Bloom.
- Continued the safe bridge refactor by extracting ore-vein and access-corridor geometry into a focused, regression-tested tunnel planner without changing mining behavior.
- Extracted bounded ore-standing selection, spatial safety checks and path probing from the action bridge into a dedicated tunnel selector.
- Extracted bounded weight-sized ore access-corridor generation and obstruction filtering into a dedicated, regression-tested planner.
- Removed the unreachable deprecated tunnel-discovery roller now superseded by the tested loot-table implementation.
- Removed the unregistered legacy encoded-coordinate Ore Mining command while retaining the live autonomous command and shared vein scanner.
- Centralized tunnel plan bounds, legacy geometry fallback and mode labels in tested pure rules.
- Moved face-relative Teleport ping destination resolution into the shared targeting rules with complete direction and fallback coverage.
- Verified Legendary Survival Overhaul 2.4.7.2 compatibility across temperature, resistance, wetness, thirst, localized healing, canteens and UI assets; updated the local development runtime pin and corrected NeoForge metadata to accept every compatible version from 2.4.6.2 onward.
- Corrected Cleanse so it can restore Food Spoil freshness without removing `FROZEN` or `THAWING` state/timing metadata; Cook remains the action that explicitly clears those states.
- Synchronized the handbook's default Hunger timing examples with the current 120/90/60/45-minute configuration defaults.
