Cobblemon: Dreamweaving Prism Ball

An addon for Cobblemon that introduces two extraordinary Poke Balls.

Prism Ball

• Guarantees the capture of a wild Pokemon.
• Turns the captured Pokemon shiny.
• A stream of stardust seems to be frozen inside.

Dreamweaving Prism Ball

• Guarantees the capture of a wild Pokemon.
• Turns the captured Pokemon shiny.
• Sets all six IVs of the captured Pokemon to 31 (6 IVs).
• Countless worlds refract within the prism!

Models and Effects

Both Poke Balls feature custom throwing, opening, and closing animations. During capture, two counter-rotating Reuleaux tetrahedra expand around the center of the ball and contract as it closes, accompanied by prismatic beams and firework particles.

Considerable effort went into reproducing the original Blockbench design in-game. The shells use a special "negative-size" modeling effect, supported by custom face-orientation and per-face UV compatibility. This allows the layered shells to fold inward and blend into a unified prismatic form instead of appearing as a rigid stack of ordinary cubes. The compatibility renderer is strictly scoped to this mod's two Poke Balls and does not affect other Cobblemon Poke Balls or Pokemon models.
