Claim Zones

Protect your builds by claiming chunks, invite friends with custom roles, and see every claim on your map.

Claim Zones is a chunk-based land claiming mod for multiplayer servers. Each claim has its own members, roles and permissions, and server staff can create public zones (spawn, shops, arenas) with extra rules.

Install it on both the server and the clients. The map mods are optional.

✨ Features

🏠 Claims

• Claim chunks and join neighbouring chunks into one claim
• Name and rename your claims
• Per-player limits on claims and total chunks, set by staff
• Optional XP cost per chunk, with a number of free chunks
• Optional expiry: claims of players who stop playing are removed after X days

👥 Roles and permissions

• Roles: Owner, Leader, Member, Guest, Visitor
• Per-role permissions: Break, Build, Interact, Containers, Entities, Manage members, Manage claim
• Changes apply instantly, with no relog
• Invites with Accept / Decline buttons in chat
• Players are told in chat when they are promoted or demoted
• Alliances: give every member of another claim a role in yours
• Transfer ownership to another player (they have to accept)

🛡️ Protection

• Blocks, containers, doors and buttons, animals, item frames and armor stands
• PvP, explosions (TNT, creepers…) and mob griefing (endermen, trampled farmland), each with its own toggle
• Water and lava from outside cannot flow into a claim
• Pistons cannot push or pull blocks across a claim border
• Explosions that start outside cannot break blocks or hurt players inside a protected claim

🚪 Moderation

• Entry alerts: get a chat message when a guest or visitor walks in, with an [Expel] button
• Ban list: banned players are pushed out, even if they log in inside the claim
• Action log (staff only): who broke, placed or opened what, and where

🌍 Public zones (staff only)

Public claims owned by the server, with extra options:

• No hunger · No fall damage · No damage from mobs
• No natural monster spawns · No elytra
• Block commands (e.g. /home, /tpa, /back; the list is configurable)

🗺️ Map integration

• Xaero's World Map: create and manage claims with right-click on the map; claims are drawn with their names
• Xaero's Minimap: shows your own claims and public zones
• JourneyMap: claims drawn on the map, with a right-click menu
• Golden shovel: hold it to see claim borders as coloured particles

🌐 Languages

Each player sees the mod in their own game language, including the messages sent by the server. Command names are the same in every language.

🎮 How to use

The command names are in Portuguese, but tab-completion shows them all and the menu does everything without commands.

Staff powers come only from /opclaims. Being a server OP is not enough, so OPs can still play normally inside other people's claims.

📦 Versions

Download the file that matches your Minecraft version: Claim_Zones-<mod version>_<Minecraft version>.jar.

⚙️ Configuration

world/serverconfig/claimzones-server.toml (on 26.3: claimzones-synced.toml). Most settings can also be changed in game from the staff menu.

⚡ Performance

Every protection check is O(1) (dimension → chunk → claim → permission bitmask). No event loops through the claim list, so it stays fast with thousands of claims.
