Ridge Clouds 0.4.1 — Smooth chunk loading (26.3)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
0.4.1 — Smooth terrain streaming
- Fix cloud height snapping when new terrain chunks arrive: new heights transition at a bounded rate instead of immediately pushing the cloud layer upward.
- Keep known terrain cached during unload/reload while it remains inside the sampling grid.
- Shift lee-side and terrain target data with the moving grid, preventing stale ridge influence after crossing chunk boundaries.
- Ignore empty fallback chunks and smooth lee-side changes.
No shader ZIP or setting changes required. Replace the previous mod JAR and restart Minecraft; keep only one Ridge Clouds version installed.
Validation: Java regression checks cover streaming peaks, bounded cloud motion, unload/reload continuity, grid recentering and world reset. Lab simulation tests and the CI build passed. This patch has not yet been visually retested in Minecraft.
