ChineseBridge (Minecraft Chinese Bridge)

Some Minecraft mods and resource packs only include one Chinese language variant. When you switch to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong), or Simplified Chinese, some text may fall back to English or remain untranslated.

ChineseBridge automatically detects existing Chinese translations and generates the missing Chinese language variants, allowing players from different Chinese-speaking regions to enjoy a fully localized experience.

Features

• Automatically scans installed mods and resource packs for existing Chinese translations.
• Supports Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) (zh_tw), Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong) (zh_hk), and Simplified Chinese (zh_cn).
• If any one Chinese language file exists, the missing Chinese variants will be generated automatically.
• Automatically creates and loads a language resource pack.
• Existing translations provided by mod authors are always preserved.
• Never modifies the original mod or resource pack files.
• Skips regeneration when installed mods and resource packs haven't changed, making subsequent launches much faster.
• Client-side only. No installation is required on the server.

Supported Versions

Download & Installation

1. Choose your Minecraft version series (for example, 1.20.x).
2. Download the JAR matching your mod loader (fabric, forge, or neoforge).
3. Place the downloaded JAR into your Minecraft mods folder.
4. Launch the game and select your preferred Chinese language.

For example, if you're using Minecraft 1.20.x with Forge, download:

ChineseBridge-forge-1.20.x-009.jar

Do not place the ChineseBridge JAR into the resourcepacks folder.

First Launch

The first time you launch the game, ChineseBridge scans all installed mods and resource packs to generate any missing Chinese translations. This may take a little while if you have many mods installed.

After completion, a new resource pack with a dedicated icon will appear:

ChineseBridge-1.20.x.zip

The resource pack is automatically enabled and placed at the highest priority on first launch. Any later changes you make (such as disabling it or changing its order) will be respected.

Whenever mods or resource packs are added, updated, or removed, the generated language pack is updated automatically. If you delete it, it will be recreated the next time you launch the game.

How Translations Are Generated

• If only zh_tw exists, zh_cn and zh_hk will be generated.
• If only zh_hk exists, zh_cn and zh_tw will be generated.
• If only zh_cn exists, zh_tw and zh_hk will be generated.
• Existing language files are never overwritten.

FAQ

Why does the first launch take longer?

The first launch scans all installed mods and resource packs to generate translations. Future launches skip this process unless your installed content changes.

Why are some texts still untranslated?

If a mod does not provide any Chinese translation at all, ChineseBridge has no source to build from. Some mods also display text using methods outside standard language files.

Can I disable the generated resource pack?

Yes. After the initial generation, you can disable it or change its priority just like any other resource pack, and ChineseBridge will respect your preference.

Does the server also need this mod?

No. ChineseBridge is a client-side mod and only needs to be installed by players.

下載與安裝

1. 選擇你的 Minecraft 系列，例如 1.20.x。

常見問題

為什麼第一次啟動比較久？

第一次需要讀取所有模組與資源包並建立翻譯。完成後，只要安裝內容沒有改變，後續啟動就會直接略過重複工作。

為什麼有些內容沒有被翻譯？

如果原模組完全沒有提供中文，ChineseBridge 就沒有可補充的來源。少數模組也可能使用一般語系檔以外的方式顯示文字。

可以停用自動產生的資源包嗎？

可以。第一次載入後，你可以像管理一般資源包一樣停用或調整順序，ChineseBridge 不會擅自改回去。

伺服器也要安裝嗎？

不用。ChineseBridge 是用戶端模組，只要玩家自己安裝即可。
