Check Engine

Your modpack's check engine light. Crash, missing mod, broken recipe or "Invalid player data" kick? It tells you what broke and how to fix it, in plain English. Undo bad updates, find the faulty mod, back up and rescue your worlds. Never touches gameplay.

What's new

New in 0.17.0

New checks
- Mods that don't get along: warns about mods known to cause trouble together, like OptiFine with Create, or Better Combat with Epic Fight without an add-on that joins them. Create with shaders but no Colorwheel shows as a tip.
- Settings reset by an update: when a mod updates and its settings change with it, Check Engine shows what changed (old and new value) and keeps a copy of your old settings file.
- Mods made for a newer Java: names any mod that needs a newer Java than your pack uses, so you know why it would crash.

Recipe check
- With Polymorph installed, recipe clashes are just info, since players can pick the result at the crafting table.
- On 26.1 and 26.2 the recipe check now sees KubeJS, CraftTweaker and Almost Unified changes, like on the other versions.
