Description
Chaos Challenge Mod
80 challenges and minigames that break Minecraft in different ways — all from one in-game menu.
Turn on one mode or ten. Mix them freely, tweak every setting, or pick a ready-made preset and just play. Built for challenge runs, video content and chaotic evenings with friends.
How to play
- Type
/chaosto open the menu. - Turning modes on and off needs operator permission (level 2). In single player, enable cheats.
- Most modes have their own settings, and presets set up a whole game in one click: Gentle chaos, Classic, Inferno, Party, Apocalypse, Absurd blessing, Everything hurts, Nothing is what it seems, Bound together and Showdown.
- A HUD panel shows what is running and how close the next event is.
- At the end of a match you get a summary with everyone's stats.
Some of the modes
The world turns on you
- The Ground Rises — break a block and the whole chunk jumps up with you on it.
- Drills — anything you drop eats its way down through the world.
- Contagion — the block you place spreads into everything around it.
- The floor is lava — the ground heats up under your feet. Standing still stops being free.
- The world shrinks — the outer ring of chunks vanishes, for real.
Every hit costs you something
- Expiration Date — you must die before the clock runs out, and never the same way twice.
- Damage = chunk erased — get hit and the ground you stand on is doomed. Run.
- Glass heart — every death takes a heart away, permanently.
- Damage = summon your attacker — whatever hits you is duplicated.
Rules that change how you play
- Mob Tower — walk into a creature and you ride it; the next one slots in underneath.
- Chain reaction — every block takes its neighbours with it: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16…
- Random crafting, random drops, recipe eraser, one slot only…
With friends
- Prop Hunt — disguise yourself as any block or animal and hide; hunters have a few arrows and every miss costs them. Living decoys, smoke screens, snowballs, random disguises and a round-result screen.
- Survival bingo, speed crafting, letter and mob roulettes, auctions.
- Hot potato, Simon says, Would you rather?, punishment vote.
- The Elastic Chain, split controls, body relay, shared everything.
…and many more. The full list with descriptions is in the menu itself.
Good to know
- Your inventory is stored when a match starts and given back when the last mode is turned off — nobody brings their netherite into a challenge. You can switch this off in
config/chaoschallengemod.json(clearInventoriesOnStart). - Modes that change the world do not undo it. What gets dug, spread or lifted stays. Try them in a world you do not mind wrecking.
- In multiplayer, install the mod on the server and on every client.
