Instead of being a mostly forgotten armor set, chainmail becomes a specialized and flexible alternative focused on projectile protection, environmental resistance, and powerful enchantment combinations.

The goal is to keep the armor close to vanilla Minecraft while finally giving players a real reason to use it.

🏹 Improved Projectile Resistance

Chainmail armor provides additional protection against projectiles.

This makes it particularly useful against:

• Skeleton arrows

• Player arrows

• Tridents

• Other projectile-based attacks

Chainmail becomes a strong defensive choice when fighting enemies that rely heavily on ranged attacks.

🌵 Protection Against Thorny Plants

Wearing chainmail armor allows the player to move safely through dangerous vegetation.

Supported hazards include:

• Sweet berry bushes

• Cactus

• Other supported thorny or damaging plants

While protected:

• Plant damage is prevented

• Movement slowdown caused by thorny plants is removed

This makes chainmail especially useful for exploration and traveling through dangerous terrain.

✨ Expanded Protection Enchantments

Chainmail armor can use several protection enchantments together that are normally incompatible in vanilla Minecraft.

For example, a single chainmail armor piece can combine:
