Description
CakeWorld π°
A friendly edible world adventure
Welcome to a world where almost everything looks delicious!
CakeWorld transforms Minecraft into a gigantic confectionery adventure filled with chocolatey ground, fluffy cake, colourful icing, sprinkles, custard, treacle, and plenty of other sweet surprises. Wander through sugary landscapes, meet curious cake themed creatures, build the dessert home of your dreams, and try not to eat all the scenery!
π° Early Alpha Notice
CakeWorld is still being baked. This first public alpha is playable and suitable for testing, but it is not a finished release. Please use a fresh test world, keep backups, and expect incomplete content and placeholder presentation.
What's on the menu?
- Edible terrain, decorative blocks, foods, and flowing confectionery fluids
- Sweetly themed biomes across the Overworld, Nether, and End
- A growing assortment of creatures, structures, landmarks, and surprises
- The Explorer's Cookbook to accompany your adventures
- Optional integration with Base Metals
- World conversion and biome placement powered by MMD OreSpawn 4
The current alpha already contains a broad selection of features, but some advanced structures and rare world-generation scenes are still incomplete or can be variable. Many textures and sounds currently use friendly vanilla derived placeholders while CakeWorld's original artwork is being prepared.
Before you unwrap it
CakeWorld 0.1.0 Alpha 1 requires:
- Minecraft 1.18.2
- Forge 40.3.0, or a compatible Forge 40 build
- Java 17
- MMD OreSpawn 4.0.2 or newer compatible 4.x β required
OreSpawn 4.0.2 is the minimum supported version. Later compatible OreSpawn 4.x updates are welcome; you do not need to remain on exactly 4.0.2.
Existing worlds retain their previously saved OreSpawn world profile, so they may not receive the intended CakeWorld conversion. Please do not test an alpha in a world you cannot afford to lose.
What does βalphaβ mean here?
This release is intended to give players a stable first taste of CakeWorld while development continues. You may encounter:
- Placeholder textures, models, or sounds
- Unfinished balancing and accessibility work
- Advanced structures that still need refinement
- Rare landmarks or scenes that do not appear consistently
- Features whose names, recipes, or presentation may change in later alphas
The important foundations: startup, registration, world creation, saving, and reloading have been tested with the packaged release JAR. Even so, backups are always required when trying an early alpha.
